Great waiter or owner before bridge, nice other members as well

Apart from the view of the Douro, the prices are too excessive for the dishes offered and the average quality.
He lures you to the entrance with the promise of eating well, that's already a trap to avoid.
I am a native of Pinhaõ and frankly this city lacks good restaurants (quality-service ratio).
By pretending to be rich (the traders) and charging such high prices, the residents are more than tired of not taking advantage of them.
Try to respect everyone.
THANKS

Some of the most amazing Portuguese I’ve had. We were a big group sharing two sirloin steaks, the salmon and mango dish, beans, rice and potatoes. All the flavours combined delightfully and all the meat and local veg are produced organically within the valley. Great place for a casual dinner and a great homely vibe.

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a delicious meal at this restaurant. The food was absolutely first class and exceeded my expectations. The ambience, although simple, was beautiful and gave the place a welcoming feel. Particularly worth mentioning is the owner, who was not only very friendly but also extremely gracious. Your warm welcome made my visit an unforgettable experience. All in all, I can fully recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a combination of excellent food, nice atmosphere and friendly service.

Excellent! ??? I'm used to eating in the best restaurants around the world. Typical Portuguese food. Very fresh and tasty. The owner of the restaurant is very friendly and patient with difficult customers. ? The simple but very pleasant environment with its view of the Douro River and beautiful mountains. I loved! ?

Passing through the town of Pinhao, we stopped at this restaurant for lunch.
Certainly the setting is magnificent but the prices are very high. 10€ 1/2 liter of house wine is unheard of in Portugal!
Food is ok.
The waiters do not speak Portuguese. The boss is French and does not spare her employees.
If you want to avoid the tourist trap, go your way.

The view in this place is the only thing I can commend but is it worth it for the expensive and poor food? Maybe not. We waited a long time for the food which we had to send back the first time due to a hair on the cod. The second time the cod came raw. The cod cost us 26€ for a small fillet and the salad was 13€ (which is ridiculous for a small salad dish). You can definitely find larger and nicer portions for lower prices in othe restaurants. Overall we did not enjoy our experience due to the price and quality (or lack thereof) of the food and would not recommend.

Beautiful view, well placed, however the Caesar salad at €25 is very overpriced!!! Overall everything is very expensive for very basic dishes.

Super nice place with nice entrance and view. The food was really nice, but a bit too high compared to the quality of the food. However, the meat was incredibly delicious and top class

Passing through Pinhão in a van, we discovered this little paradise with a breathtaking view of the Douro. A very warm welcome with very good advice regarding the choice of dishes and drinks. I precisely recommend their homemade Port, which is a must.

Beautiful location.
Bad service.
Overpriced food.
Don't go!

Unfortunately not good service and the food seems very overpriced. I came alone around 9:30 p.m. - wanted to order food for myself and takeaway for my children.

There was a nice table available with a great view. Nobody greeted me. I sat down there.

After a while the young waitress finally brought me the card. Then she came and wanted to pour me port wine. So there were no objections to my choice of seat.

In the meantime I had seen the prices that were way too expensive (25€ for an ordinary salad plate with iceberg lettuce and canned corn and tomatoes and sad smoked salmon on it at the next table) and that they only accept cash or bank transfer. I find that very impractical in such a remote location.

So I was about to leave anyway when the owner upped the ante and tried to expel me from the table because it was supposedly reserved for some imaginary guests. I said no problem, I was just about to leave anyway.

We went to this beautiful restaurant tonight and it was absolutely beautiful. The view is stunning. Dipak was our waiter, and he was the most sympatic waiter to have. At all times with a smile. We were offered a port for free. The house wine is very good. Then the food came, OMG to perfection. Such a lovely place and lovely people serving. We really had a good night. We are from Australia, but I will recommend to anybody I know who will go to Pinhão.
