Over priced embarrassment
Beautiful views
However, very bad service, and we got a terrible a
Wine that was opened for a long time.
Recommend going somewhere else!!
Horrible. Exorbitant prices and terrible service. We entered as a group and after being denied a coffee because “we are a wine house” (the owner's words), we saw coffees being served to other tables. Taking photographs is prohibited, which is ridiculous given the nature of the cafe. I do not recommend nor will I return

Nice place, facing the Douro, it was 4pm, only one table occupied. There were 3 of us and we ordered 3 glasses of wine. We felt like eating something and we ordered 2 boards (1 with cheese, 1 with sausages). When they informed us that we can only order 3 boards. Like this? - I ask!
“If you were only going to drink wine, you could stay, as you want to eat and there are 3 of you, you have to order 3 boards”.
We got up and left.
I don't know if I was more upset by what happened or by the number of tourists they have to take along with this.
Local sadness.

Great location overlooking the river but but two plates of very poor quality tapas and two small glases of tepid white wine was a rip off at €45 Not recommended.

The unpleasant waitress and also some thieves. Two black coffees, a coffee with milk and a tea, €13. Not recommended at all.

Poor service. Doesn’t know the difference between americano and espresso. If you just have a coffee, you can’t sit down for a few minutes at a patio table even though all are completely empty. A coffee is 3.50 EUR, which is about 3x the normal price. Service is unfriendly.

Avoid this place at all costs. Terrible quality of food and just all round awful. I’d give it zero stars if possible. Waiter was coughing all over the food he was serving and he charged us €50 for a tiny cheese board and two drinks. Do yourself a favour and head to Vintage House Hotel for a drink instead.

Empty house, but we were forced to sit glued to the only occupied table in the space. We ordered two tonic ports that tasted just like tonic water. It's a shame because the space and the view are very pleasant.

In good location!
Prices for tourists with a lot of money! Much more expensive than in Lisbon or the Algarve!
What is too much is a nuisance!
