We came to the city to watch the castle of Pombal, accidentally went into this cafe and we really liked it! It was a chilly January evening, and hot soup was on the menu. It was very handy! The cakes are very fresh and delicious! There were few visitors, we were served quickly. The staff is very friendly! If we are in this city again, we will definitely come here for delicious cakes!
Great pastry and coffee.A wide variety of pastries. But the quality of service leaves much to be desired. And the cakes are not very good.

SUPER SLOW, We asked for two slices of butter and after 30min of waiting, when there is no one, it still hasn't arrived????Update they finally arrived asking directly to pay and forgetting a coffee
We stopped in Pombal on our way to Douro region. Sleepy town, not many quick lunchstops to find. We saw this pasteleria with nice terrace in front of the church and it looked spotless clean. Inside we ordered some sandwiches, sweet desserts and some drinks. However they did not speak English very well they served us so friendly, with lots of care,… and this just for 14 euros for 3 people! These young people know what customer care means and love their business. If you want to support local economy on your stopover in Pombal: just go there!
Cramped space and unfriendly staff
Always delicious cakes.
