“We had some great food in this restaurant. People are very friendly, prices are reasonable and service is good. Highly recommended. Make sure you call for reservation as online reservations didn't work for us. Included photo was from the Duck.“

“One of my favorite restaurants. Always friendly, and great food. I chose to eat grilled rack of lamb with mushroom risotto and salad. My companion opted for the grilled entrecôte with sautéed mushrooms and served with white rice, black beans, broken eggs... let's just say that both were served quite well.“

“Good beer, good seafood, good menu, good dishes (I love the Cervejália steak), good prices, good desserts, good service, little waiting time, good atmosphere, good location, easy parking nearby...Ahhh!!! and one of the best Francesinhas... south of the Douro River! ????“
“The food here was very good. Everyone in my party ordered something different and everyone was very pleased with their selection. However, the service was horribly slow. We rarely saw our waiter so asking for ketchup came after we were done with our food. Our drink order came out with our food so forget about enjoying a pre-meal cocktail. We had to get up and look for our waiter to request the bill. We invited our tour guide to join us for lunch, and even he was shocked at the lack of service. If time is not an issue and you are not hangry, I would recommend this restaurant….bring your patience.“

“Food, atmosphere and staff were all were wonderful.
Food: 3 of us shared the 'menu leitão'. Although we tried, there was so much food, that we were unable to finish it all (nevertheless the remainder left with us in 'doggy bags' ?). The starters were fabulous, a variety of pork 'parcels', wrapped in wonderfully light pastry. Accompanied by feijoada. We had to keep reminding each other to try to leave space for the main course but the food was so moorish, it was hard to leave it alone.
The main course, leitão, was perfect. At some places, I have found the overall dish can be a bit greasy, the meat a bit fatty and the skin tough, however, O Pote do Leitão's melted in the mouth.
We had a vihno verde to accompany the meal, which was ideal - light and didn't detract from the food's flavours.
Atmosphere:It is a lovely, interesting restaurant. The walls are adorned with photos of the many 'famous' people who have dined there. Although it is not a pretentious place and the staff make you feel welcomed and at home. We spent over 3 hours dining unhurriedly these. It was perfect, the way a great meal should be enjoyed, not in a rush but with good company and conversation.
I had last eaten the restaurant some years back, it was great to return there and I am sure I will do so again in the future.
Parking: Parking is off-road open-air (the restaurant's car park), bays are marked and it is free.
Kid-friendliness: All are welcomed.
Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is ground floor and there are no steps to have to navigate.“
“We stayed at this hotel a few times during our tour of Portugal and it was a great spot to stay and eat. The restaurant is perfectly located and surrounded by windows. The food was very good and the staff was SUPER nice and friendly. Thank you Marcio and Bruno for making our visit to the Marques de Pombal a wonderful experience.“

“My review was based on my boyfriend's experience, who already knows the place and says it's great. It's a shame that on Google the opening times say it's open on Wednesdays and to our sadness it was closed as it was a rest day. It would be good to update Google so that other people don't create expectations that they will arrive at a place to eat and find themselves with the doors closed. I hope to visit the restaurant on another occasion, so I can have my own experience. Thanks!“

“I confess that I had been curious about entering this house for some time now!It has been many years since I last entered this space... when it was still owned by Mr. Raúl! I still remember your friendliness and good disposition towards all your clients... without exception!Today... it is a renovated space, well decorated and very welcoming. The service remains friendly... as if "inherited" from Mr. Raúl, the terrace is also pleasant, quiet and with no shortage of ambient music... also with great taste!I'll be back... for sure!“

“Food and service were very good! But they were lacking a lot of products, specially home made starters. The escuse is that the day after the restaurant would be closed, thus they didn’t prepare any fresh starters… As a client when I go to restaurant I expect everything to be available everyday the restaurant is open, with exception of food which is clearly stated should be ordered in advance…“

“From the moment you walk through the door, you are greeted by an enchanting atmosphere that blends the charm of bygone eras with modern sophistication. The decor is carefully selected, with antique furniture, soft lighting and details that evoke a feeling of nostalgia and elegance.
The dining experience is equally impressive. The menu is a celebration of traditional Portuguese cuisine, with a contemporary twist. Each dish is prepared with fresh, local ingredients, highlighting authentic flavors that warm the heart and satisfy the palate. Classics, such as cod with cream and octopus à lagareiro, are served to perfection, honoring traditional recipes while adding the chef's creative touch.
The service is another highlight of the Vintage Restaurant. The staff is attentive and friendly, always ready to recommend dishes and wines that complement your meal. The passion for what they do is evident, creating a welcoming and memorable experience for all visitors.
The wine list is a journey in itself, with a carefully curated selection of Portuguese wines that perfectly complement the flavors of the dishes. Customers can enjoy a good wine while enjoying the cuisine on offer, making the experience even more special.
In short, the Vintage Restaurant in Pombal is a gem that combines excellent food, a welcoming atmosphere and high-quality service. It is the perfect place for those who want an unforgettable meal, whether for a special occasion or simply to taste the best of Portuguese cuisine in an environment that exudes charm and history.“
