After having several negative experiences with restaurants in Ponta Delgada, we were recommended to come here. The truth is that it was a complete success. A pleasant atmosphere, quick service from the waiters and exquisite food. You must get on the list to be able to dine, they do not reserve a table. We were looking forward to trying the octopus and fried cod, as it was late they didn't have any left, so go early.

Op basis van aanbevelingen hier gaan eten. Wij hoefden niet lang te wachten, maar jemig wat staan hier rijen. Soms 24 groepen mensen voor je om te gaan eten.
Walnoten met kaas en bladerdeeg bestond vooral uit walnoot, iets te overheersend. Kale gerechten zonder veel groente. Voor ons was dit het net niet en een beetje overrated.
Het hele restaurant zat vol met mensen, dus enorm veel lawaai en herrie. Moest bijna schreeuwen om elkaar te verstaan. Service verder prima.

Emblematic restaurant in Ponta Delgada. We visited it on our last day since we were in no hurry and we could wait for a table since it is very busy. Typical dishes, homemade and quality cuisine with very good service. Note that the desserts are incredible.

I give it two stars only because of the atmosphere, otherwise it would be one. Reserve plenty of time here. We arrived at the restaurant before the crowds. First, we waited 10 minutes to be shown a table, another 10 minutes for someone to give us the menu. Finally managed to order. I had nice expectations about this place, but unfortunately I was disappointed. Apart from the service, which we didn't really care about, the food was very average. It was bland and tasteless. There were pieces of meat in my fish stew, they looked like waste. If I were a vegetarian, I would be very angry. I don't understand the phenomenon of this place and I don't recommend trying it. There are many better places around to choose from. And you will waste a lot of time and leave dissatisfied. I will also add that the portions are indeed large, but so what if they have no taste.
