We were looking for a place to eat, as what was available was either bad looking or very slow. As for eating, it was cheap and well served, as for the service, it has a lot to be desired, I don't think it's professional to turn away from customers every time you serve them. When we tried to call the owner or manager he always had a bad look or was turned away, zero friendliness. There were people who arrived after us and were served first, it took a LONG time for us to be served. I don't recommend it, although the food is delicious and well served.

After waiting for 1h15min for our food (in a super hot room) we can surely recommend against going there. We all asked for medium steaks and got super rare ones, check the picture. Two of the dishes were supposed to come with salad. After more than one hour, there was no salad in sight. We had to ask again. Also, the rice came clogged like it was warmed up. Just another tourist trap, they are not prepared to handle their amount of clients.

Welcome to a spectacular adventure. We sat down to eat in the restaurant and the atmosphere was already strange and with bad faces. We order some limpets and when they touch the table a waiter comes and tells us that they are his pxtas limpets and they take them off the table. We saw a cockroach, while people were leaving and criticizing the restaurant. After an hour and a quarter of waiting for food, at least four tables got up, desperate not to eat and with the intention of leaving. We went to pay our bill and they wanted to charge us for some steaks that we had been waiting for for an hour and 15 minutes and that never arrived. We said no, and the owner came out with the gold chain on the outside speaking badly and saying that we hadn't waited even an hour and a half. In total, we left all the tables hungry and wanting to give a cookie to the owner and the waiters for their violent treatment. On top of that, they made the excuse that there were a lot of people in the restaurant. It wouldn't even be 15 tables. I invite you to go to a beach bar in Malaga in August and learn something about customer service and restaurant efficiency. Plus there was a super weird waiter who had a hard time with our table. It was funny how 15 people who didn't know each other agreed to leave because of the degrading treatment.

Terrible place. We spent an hour and a half waiting for the food, which we did not try because we left after a long and tedious wait. The bitter and equidistant staff towards our feelings, they yelled at you and spoke badly. When, after an hour of waiting, a dish finally arrived, the other waiter in the room took it from the table and, while yelling at his colleague, took it to another table. There were 5 tables that were in that situation in the same room and all the tables left for the same reason. A real shame and the chubby waiter with glasses is the closest thing to a movie villain I've ever seen. I give it one star because I can't put it in negative, it's been 5 days and I'm still waiting for my “bitoque”

Amazing morcela with pineapple and good service! Good choice to experience traditional portuguese place
I got a bit down with this retaurant because it was a recommendation. We tried the typical "lapas grelladas" and if you are coming from the coast side, they will not surprise you and honestly in this place they were quite small. The black sausage was a "must go" if you like the strong flavours but the sardinies were a bit dried (6 of them, good amount) and the "Bitequi" was a normal well cooked steak. But if you are looking for a portuguese experience here you can find it, also the service is kind and helpful.

Avoid... As soon as you sit down, the waiter places the fresh cheese on your table that you didn't order (but that you will pay for whether you like it or not). The cod is tasteless and reheated, the same for the potatoes. Lack of hygiene, the waiter takes the seat on which our backpacks were placed and spreads them nonchalantly on the table in front of our plates. In short, big disappointment after a very nice trip to the Azores…TO AVOID!!!!!
