The service is unbeatable, the pork rinds are super good and the blackmouth fish are great. The chef's casserole with clams is highly recommended. We went for dinner, I recommend booking because maybe they won't get a table otherwise.

We ordered a "Fish of the day" dish, and the same waiter explained to us what fish they were, and a good amount came. They had caught it that same morning, a typical place unlike others where there are more tourists.

Tuna steak was thin and had burned charcoal taste. The lapas as well. Something was off with the taste. Weve always been here for our trips (last one a couple of years ago) to Sao Miguel and the place has always been outstanding, but now a letdown, unfortunately. Friendly and efficient service on the plus side, though.
The night after the meal was spent spraycanning the jar which underscores my rating and impressions radically.

Use caution eating here if you’re a foreigner! I was bullied into leaving a tip even though it’s only the custom to sometimes round up. The waiter, who I think was the owner, wouldn’t process my payment until I added a tip. We’ve been in Portugal for two weeks, and it was the only restaurant where I experienced that. Hard pass, if you ask me! Plenty of other nice places to eat in the area.

Spectacular food in a traditional restaurant, very traditional and that maintains the quality of its product.I have no words to describe how good the chef's clams are.We also tried the Seafood Steak and the meat is very good.Dessert the passion fruit cake. Doesn't disappoint.
