“This is my favorite sushi restaurant in Ponta Delgada. Cozy, great background music, well decorated. But the main reason I go there religiously since 2021 is the food and Leo and Vitor, the sushi chefs. They are great at their craft, and you will be served delicious food in no time. It's not a very big place, so if you are going for dinner it might be better to book a table in advance. Had no trouble so far getting tables for lunch, but then again I almost only go on weekdays. Supremely highly recommended“

“At first I was a bit skeptical that the ambience from the outside wasn't exactly what you'd look for on holiday. However, I was very positively surprised afterwards - the food was really tasty, the staff were on the ball and very friendly. Absolutely okay in terms of price. Sushi very tasty“

“It was the first time I went there... and I immediately saw something that filled my eyes with tears and my soul with happiness. Naruto, Dragon Ball among others. Brilliant atmosphere for anime lovers and the first thing that crossed my mind was eating what Naruto ate during his first episodes! I took my oldest son to eat it because he did too and we loved it!! Thanks Oishi for the little surprise! Good business wishes“

“great food in a vegetarian restaurant that caters very well for vegans. Food is superb and very reasonably priced. Staff are great and you come out feeling like you have had a delicious meal (and wine) and made a whole lot of new best friends We ate there three times in 5 days. Lunch deal is a great bargain.“

“Well... let's start :-)
The restaurant with a high score on GMaps stands out for its somewhat different approach to the usual, interpreting the chef's vision of Japanese cuisine. In addition to the traditional menu, there are two tasting options. I opted for "Omakase". The freshness of the fish is not debatable, the taste of the sea, good presentation and adequate service for the chosen option. The 8 "moments" on the menu already include soup (udon) and dessert. The remaining dishes vary. I was expecting more sashimi, but overall the experience was pleasant.
Unfortunately there is no wine pairing option, but they do make some good gin and tonics. Wine list has some variety, there are 3 wine options by the glass (basic whites priced by the glass at the price of the bottle in the store). Gins also have a “high” price.
In short: it is recommended to visit for the freshness and good quality of the fish. Whether or not to try the tasting menus is up to each individual. I personally found that making an individual selection of dishes from the menu allowed you to explore more of the chef's skills and expand the culinary experience.
Enjoy!“
