I give this restaurant five stars for the pleasant experience it gave us on the eve of the "white night" in Ponta Delgada.
We arrived early, being the first customers to be served. We opted for fish soup and cataplana, also with fish.
Everything was great, almost without salt, which allows me to taste the ingredients better.
It's rare for a restaurant to be able to captivate customers so much without using salt! We really liked it and tried to remain loyal to the restaurant, returning the following night, after touring the island.
But we arrived later, it was around nine thirty. We were refused entry because it was already late.
We went to another restaurant where we were lucky enough to be greeted warmly.
Today we didn't even consider going back!
Furthermore, we learned that most restaurants close early! And this is incomprehensible! Portugal is a country that must know how to respect tourists, both Portuguese and foreign!
We can discover that in Spain, almost next door, they have competitive prices and are well received!
Personally, I like going there and I'm starting to wonder if I shouldn't consider more trips to the land of our "brothers"...

I have been twice and the truth is that the food is very good and abundant, but there is always a but I went to make a reservation for dinner and they told me that they did not have reservations and I told them that at 9:00 p.m. I would go to dinner if they had free tables they told me that no. at most 8:30 or 8:45 p.m. We went at 8:00 p.m. and when we finished around 9:30 p.m. people were still coming in and they were seating them for dinner, I felt a little scammed and deceived

All very rich and recommended.
The fish soup, the one of the day and the brutal fish

João Vara

It was the worst octopus à lagareiro, or anything else I've ever eaten, hard and cold without any flavor.
And the squid?
Slices of very salty squid floating in a liquid that is, to say the least, questionable.

Perhaps the most typical representative of Azorean gastronomy.

Restaurant doesn't open until 6 p.m.
Staff very friendly.
To start I had black pudding with pineapple, a traditional Azorean dish.
Yummy.
The main course, the fried sardinia, was a little below our expectations.

Summary: it shows once again that a recommendation from the travel guide (Dumont) is not always correct.

Great place to eat.
We went to this place because there was a long queue in "Tasca" and we searched for places on Google. And, the truth is, a success.
We tried the limpets, and they were very delicious.
We changed a children's menu for a fish kebab (it's really a fish skewer) which was delicious.
We also ordered rice with cod, which was spectacular. With 1 serving of rice with cod, 2 people eat calmly.
The waitress who served us did fantastic. A 10.

It is a good place to go to eat and with very delicious food.

We tried to make a reservation, but the staff was unresponsive. Apparently (from the outside) nothing special, but we cannot give a realistic assessment of the service.

A bit hidden right at the harbor but absolutely worth looking for.
Super fresh fish and affordable!
We had tuna steak and octopus/scampi skewers. Served with boiled potatoes and grilled vegetables. Portions plentiful and incredibly tasty.

Very good lips. Grilled fish quite good but the cataplana very fair. Badly done and raw potatoes. Very expensive compared to other places

Super good fish restaurant. I particularly recommend the clams (excellent!) and the swordfish. Everything is served generously as always in Portugal and the prices are more than fair given the quality and quantity served. The staff is friendly. Really a very good address.
