Horrible
It is a place where when you enter it exudes quality and that you are going to enjoy a good meal, but in our case it was quite the opposite. To begin with, it took almost 50 minutes to serve us dinner, and the sirloin we ordered was tough and its garnish was better than the meat (which already says something quite bad about the dish) and a hake in a flavorless sauce. Also expensive.
The only good thing to highlight was the waiter, who made sure we were comfortable at all times and was very nice to us.
I do not recommend it.

Essential if you travel to the island of Saõ Miguel. Joël attended us and the treatment was impeccable. The food was delicious.
100% recommended.
If I return, I will repeat for sure.

The experience was not the best.
We tried makreel sevich and Veja as starters, they were both tasteful.
As a main we ordered steak (26€/pp), I was expecting a tender steak but it was very chewy, it was also missing some taste.
At the end they were very gentle and to compensate for the chewy steak they offered the dessert, which was delicious.
The service was ok but we noticed that the target was not Portugese people.
It was ok, but I would not go there again.

Way too expensive for what is cooked. Finally cooking, for me, we are far from the standards we know in France. With my profile, you will find a restaurant with a superb Angus flank steak for 18 euros and without fail every time. The one that was served to us was a little hard and with a puree that wasn't puree. We had a plate with chicken and rice pilaf for 24 euros.
My fish was ok but the sauce wasn't finished
The folklore brought by the waiters is certainly nice, but the price of the dishes is exorbitant compared to what is served.
I hope they will improve their cuisine to continue charging such prices.

Interesting food proposal but overall overpriced imo. Atmosphere interesting with the chief cooking in the center but it feels a bit cramped

Have a nice evening. The two of us took 4 starters, a main course and a dessert so that we could share each selection. All the fish were perfect (cooking and preparation).
Beautiful wine list with a large selection of Azores wines (including 4 available by the glass).

The food was delicious. Service was a bit strange.
We called for a reservation and they said only 6:30 was possible, even though we preferred to come a bit later. When we arrived at 6:30 the restaurant was not open yet so we had to wait a few minutes outside and the restaurant was completely empty until people started coming for their 7pm reservations. So it was not clear why we couldn't also come at 7 ?♀️
The first server who was helping us seemed focused only on my husband. He was leaning close to him and explaining the menu only to him, explained the wine choices only to him, said stuff like "we'll get the food for you sir." Just a bit strange as I was also sitting there but the server didn't seem to notice ?
Later our waiter was a guy who seemed like the owner. He was friendly and energetic and clearly passionate about his restaurant. He wanted to pour the wine for us every time, but always spilled a bit of wine every single time ?? he also answered his phone and had it on speaker, so we listened to a lot of conversations about how the restaurant was full.
We sat right next to the kitchen which was cool as we could see the chefs finish cooking the dishes. This is definitely the best table as some of the other tables were sandwiched very close together.

This is my first meal in Azores. Far away from the main cities in Portugal we flew miles away to this island and had our first meal here. After some conversation with the chef here we were delighted to know that he had sometime in Hongkong our home country. Food was so fantastic and so astonishing. Harvested from the freshest and to be served, all came to our palates were so good. Please enjoy the food meticulously selected by the chef.
