I've never eaten a sweet like this in my life, made with walnuts and honey, in a fantastic balance, neither too sweet nor too dry. It is a mandatory stop in Ponte da Barca to taste these Magalhães and next time I will try the orange cheesecake!
Great confection in addition to the usual friendliness of the staff and the owner Mr. Alfred. Of particular note are the house specialities, the delicious 'Orange cheesecake' and 'Magalhães'; the latter in honor of the famous navigator who well deserves such distinction.
Good pastry right in the center of PB. Orange cheesecakes are the specialty and brand of the house. Recently they associated caravels with walnut kernels/paste in honor of the feat of Fernão de Magalhães who local historians say was born in a parish south of the city called Paço Vedro Magalhães.
