“Restaurant away from the tourist area (near Carrefour) that you must specifically go to. We hadn't booked and we had to wait but I assure you it was worth it. The dishes do not detract from the name of the restaurant at all. The winery is very acceptable. It is worth going away a little to visit, but remember to book.“

“A very nice place!
Friendliness and professionalism in service.
Great cod pataniscas starter, dry and crunchy.
Next, the roast pork shank that was suggested to us didn't shine nor managed to pass an average rating. Meat that was not very soft, suggesting a short roasting time, with almost no crunchiness, was not captivating.
The final pineapple and panacotta were quality.
Plenty of parking spaces.“

“Very good address. We had lunch there as a family. I particularly recommend the beef with "tres Pimentos". The portions are very generous. Beautifully decorated restaurant, professional service, pleasant atmosphere and impeccable toilets. To do again.“

“I recommend this traditional restaurant where vegetarians are welcome, we were surprised by a well served and complete dish. So the world moves forward and forward, if we return to Ponte de Lima this is our preference. Thank you for making a difference.
Vegetarian options: Dish very well served with rice, French fries, mashed potatoes, cabbage and green beans, black-eyed peas and tomatoes, a complete and tasty dish, I recommend it.“

“I had dinner there alone while doing the Camino de Santiago. The waiter was extremely friendly and helped with the menu, since I do not speak Portoguese. The food was beyond delicious, and the portions were so large I could not even finish. Perfect experience after a day full of walking.“

“Restaurant familial, ils sont très gentils et chaleureux.
Cela fait maintenant plusieurs années que j'y vais, ils ont une carte très grande où j'ai pu manger divers plats différents (carnivores pour ma part) et tout était toujours très bon avec un prix contenu.
A chaque fois que je rentre en France j'ai peine de m'en éloigner..
Muito obrigado
Vegetarian options: Même si je n'en suis pas sensible, il y a pas mal d'options pour les végétariens.“

Parking: When there are no seats outside, there are plenty along the street. There is also a free car park on the riverbank.“

“The portions are very large, even asking for half. I ordered bacallao or escondidinho and it was delicious. But I do have to say that the thin part was drier and toasted and I didn't like it, they do it all together and it is drier. But I would repeat.“

“We booked an outside table for our 1st night dinner in Pte de Lima with our friends. 8 of us really enjoyed all the food - excellent quality & great service from the guys here. The wine was also very good value & great quality. Just back from the main square - which probably makes it better value..“
“We would rate this 10 stars if we could! Dinner was an amazing experience. The dining area is super small, giving it a family feel. It was like eating at my Portuguese great-grandmother's house and the owner's made it feel cozy and comfortable. The decor added to the terrific ambiance. The food was every bit as nice. The seafood rice was loaded with clams, shrimp, fish, and flavor. The franceshinha especial was the best I've ever had. Both could have been shared, and we still would have left full. As it was, we were rolling out the door because of so much food. My wife was given a cute little shopping bag as a parting gift. Highly recommended!“

“Homemade, tasty food and a family atmosphere. The cabbage soup was divine. We had lunch on a weekday and chose the restaurant by chance. Small and welcoming, it reminded me of the nostalgic taverns, which were on the verge of extinction. Excellent for those who want a quick meal and homemade food.“

“One of the best restaurants in Ponte de Lima. We tried the meat and it is spectacular. We took the typical starters of the area and they had nothing to do with what we had tried in other places, all very superior. The atmosphere and treatment of the staff is close. I found it cheap for the atmosphere, exclusive treatment and quality of food. From the restaurant you can see the horses.we will repeat“

“We were looking for a place away from the tourist center and where the people of Ponte de Lima went to eat. And we found this place. A jewel!!! Good food, good prices and a waitress who served us as if we were in the bar downstairs at home: fast, efficient, friendly... THANK YOU!Stop posturing tourist rolls and go to places like this. “The food is very good!
For those who like to experience different gastronomic cultures (flavors and seasonings) it is undoubtedly an option in Ponte de Lima.
Coalho cheese, for those who like it, there is one very close to us!
Fried and cooked cassava. I like both although the cooked one is my favorite.
The main dishes were very good.
Mushroom risotto with black pork feathers!
Empty steak with melted cheese and crispy fries.
Romeo and Juliet pudding dessert (with guava paste).
I recommend it to try different flavors and combinations of flavors.
Congratulations“

“We went looking for Sarrabulho rice, asked a passerby and he recommended this restaurant to us. We stayed on the terrace and were served by a very friendly and prompt young woman. We ordered ham for starters and sent it back because it was too salty. The cheese we ordered was very good (rabaçal). The rojões and rice from Sarrabulho were good. We ordered a dose for two people and there was a lot left.
Half a dose would have been enough.
Overall, we liked it.“

“My friends and I were passing through and decided to eat there. Spectacular, a small place, but great food, large portions, very low prices and very, very fast and good service. If you order dessert it will rise to ≈€12 but the Lotus or chocolate mousse are delicious. It's a shame I didn't take a photo :'c“

“One of the oldest family restaurants in Ponte de Lima, you eat the best cabrito assado no forno, be sure to mark your table when you arrive or risk seeing your turn pass due to a lot of crowds.
Parking: Ample free public parking along the banks of the river.“

“To begin with, we loved the reception from the girl who is serving you. As soon as we arrived, he immediately gave us a smile and happily asked us if we were going to have dinner. We answered yes and the girl promptly told us to sit comfortably, wherever we preferred. For that reason alone, it was worth deciding to stop there.
Very politely, he provided us with the menu and some starters, which we gladly accepted. The olives were the highlight, very good and tasty, difficult to resist asking for more.
When taking the order, in doubt between the francesinha or the kebab, the girl immediately told us that we could try both, as we had kebab francesinha available on the menu. We were unsure about the quality of the kebab, but the confidence that the girl gave us made us decide quickly. We couldn't have made a better choice! It was really delicious, we felt that the girl was at “her beach”. In the end, there was no belly for dessert, but the coffee was perfect. We ordered a nice cup of coffee and the girl who served us responded with everything.
We were delighted with everything, and at the end of paying, the girl even had the kindness to thank us and was waiting for our return to taste the "famous" Garlic Steak, wishing us a good weekend.
We will definitely be back! We were very well served and received in a very welcoming, beautiful and pleasant environment, something we have rarely found: price-quality-good service, all in one space. Thank you for the fantastic experience you gave us Pica-Já.
Parking: Free parking, private from the restaurant, with plenty of space and secure.“
“Local and plentiful food. Although the dishes tend to be meat or fish, they also prepare some vegetarian options (I was with a friend and I ordered only some eggs with potatoes, and he prepared a dish that surprised me). Very good price considering the quality (about 11 euros each dish).
Vegetarian options: They have some dishes that can be adapted for vegetarians.“

“I really liked both the service and the food. For me, the "appetizer" was strange because there was fish pate and freshly baked bread on the table until we ordered, I could introduce this even in Hungary. I had the best bacalhaut in Portugal here.“

“Interior restaurant but with several windows and views of the river. Service is friendly and efficient. The food was very good and so tasty.
The monkfish rice was enough to share (if you're not too hungry, of course), it was excellent with large pieces of monkfish and shrimp. The curry has a spicy aftertaste, if you are not used to it, it is better not to order it.
Everything is very good, and the prices are fair and in line with the quality and quantity.“
“Really lovely, bustling Portuguese restaurant. We've been several times over the last couple of years and loved it each time. My wife is coeliac and they were great (it's not always understood in Portugal). Pork is the speciality given the region with lots of dishes (they do plenty of other food though). Good food, cheap, excellent service - love it. Twice a week they do their special - suckling pig!“

“A typical friendly restaurant in a small alley in Ponte de Lima
A delicious cod cooked in a tile-shaped dish served with onions and small potatoes
A traditional caramelized pudding accompanied by slices of pineapple, a real delight
A good price-performance ratio
A nice welcome
Let's stay local and authentic
Small downside, a little too much sugar in the dessert
Well done“

“Place on the first line towards the river. Where today it is quiet to eat. Smoking is allowed on the terrace. I liked that. The food is not abundant as usual in Portugal and the quality. It could be better. Normal attention. If I return I will try other places.

“Food and service were great! Generous, hearty portions. Mushrooms and prawns were excellent starters. Steak and fish were excellent. Great for big groups. We were 11 and had a cozy set up. We had a couple of vegetarians in the group - menu is not vegetarian friendly but our server made a plan! Fairly good value for money.“
