The Olivença restaurant is an institution in Ponte de Sor. Excellent food and great service. I recommend the dogfish soup and the lamb picanha. The fruit salad is also excellent. Now located in the Market it has a more modern atmosphere.

We went with good expectations, as the restaurant receives good reviews here. However, the first contact is somewhat frustrating, without a reservation it is difficult to be served. It's not the weekend, it was ten minutes after the doors opened, there are two families present and we are the second. In short, they are business options, perfectly legitimate but not very pleasant. With some effort, space was found for three. Interestingly, later on, a table for two was also converted to three, and WITHOUT any inconveniences.
Choices made, our dishes arrive. One of them, a poorly cooked grilled Tomahawk. The piece is large, natural, but has RAW parts. There are pieces of meat and its fat that did not receive heat from the grill due to the appearance they had. I like meat, but not raw. Result, a disappointing and expensive dinner due to poor preparation. A shame!!! Thanks for the service, but we won't be back.
PS: Weak toast starter. Very thinly sliced, dry and hard, so they will be purchased. With supposed aromatic butter. Supposed to be sparse to non-existent.
