Porches Velho is a charming restaurant in a seemingly unsuspecting location. The restaurant serves fresh, traditional, and sophisticated dishes with higher product quality. The menu features dishes such as veal cheeks, octopus with sweet potatoes, and lamb shank with rosemary. The food is consistently strong on quality, with examples including perfectly grilled shrimp with garlic and chili sauce and tender lamb. The restaurant also offers a variety of wines that are not expensive but very good. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with charming places inside and outside. Reviews highlight the excellent mussel and prawn portions, and highly recommend the bacalhau a bras. The octopus and braised leg of lamb are also highly recommended. The restaurant is beautiful and cozy with a traditional Portuguese menu. The grilled cod is done very differently, present without spines and grouped in the shape of a cylinder. The bread is brought hot and crispy. Desserts were good.
