“Lords bar......what can I say? We found this bar just down the road from our hotel on the first night and ended up visiting every night of our stay.
David and the rest of his staff were just so friendly from day one, they make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in.
There is seating inside and out, with a view out to sea.
The drinks are very reasonably priced as well. The cocktails were a big hit with all of us.
There are even TVs available, if you're a sports fan as well, so the 2024 Euro's were on.
I'm sure we'll be visiting this area again in the future, so looking forward to seeing David soon, thanks guys for a great week.“

“We had coffee and breakfast and the overall experience was good. The service was very kind, fast and attentive. I had the continental breakfast. The food quality was not impressive, but considering there aren’t many good places around, the proximity to the beach, and the speed of service, I would recommend to visit.“

The eggs were done well enough not to make a mess when eating the bread, and the onions were caramelized very well. One element for improvement is that the peanut butter was too thick, and when combined with the pancake, was too difficult to chew.

The two in charge had everything under perfect control and were extremely helpful and kind when we asked (likely quite stupid) questions. Had the salmon sandwich and carpaccio sandwich between us and they were both divine.“

“Visited Taberna das Sesmarias on the first morning of our holiday. We were greeted by a lovely server (Doris?) and handed what can only be described as an extensive menu. Inspired by Wagamama’s (or vice versa, perhaps), the food arrives when it’s ready and it did not disappoint. I had a Bifana ?? (pictured). “Booked for Sunday lunch, which was fabulous. We have never been before, so we thought we would give it a try. The lunch was lovely, beef and pork, roasties, carrot and swede, cabbage, green beans, carrots, Yorkshire pudding, cauliflower cheese, followed by homemade choice of desserts all for 14 euros. We were made to feel so welcome. The family made the afternoon, and they were so friendly. We had a fabulous few hours. There was also a singer who was very good. You do need to book for the Sunday lunch. Would highly recommend. Drink prices were very reasonable, too. Enjoy ?“

After a long days walk, the nibbles (cheese, bread and olives) were devoured, then we shared the chef salad - nice, then a plate of chicken, ribs and chips were shared (€15). “One of the best meals we had during our holiday! Vincent and the lady host were also extremely accommodating towards my nephew’s gluten allergy. Most of us had the peppered steak which was amazing! Friendly service plus really great coffee... what more could we ask for?!Well, actually, we asked for food. A tosta mista (cheese and ham toastie)... and a Bifana (a pork steak in a crusty roll).The food, plus 2 x Portuguese small coffees and 1 x milky coffee plus a bottle of water... came to €11.50.Bargain!“
