I read the review posted by the others in below and see how many things you can get by using 78 euro. We went to the restaurant in January just 3 months after the post. We feels like either this place under new management which started to charge 2 times more than they normally charge or they charge local and foreigners in different rate. Very confused.

Authentic, traditional food in a small cafe style setting, well worth the wait, great portions, and reasonably priced.

giving one? star because of the cheap management and customer service. I heard the ? food was very good so I went to try it with my family ? family. As we came to the restaurant ?I told the waitress that we are from a magazine and we are going to review about it on Google. She seemed very happy about it ?. I was wrong ❌ ?!!!!!! First of all we wanted to order some drink ? and had to wait for ⌚ 10 minutes. When she brought the ? drinks she placed one drink wrongly on the table. So the ? glass fall and broke on top of the main ? dish, the food was full of brocken ? glass. She looked at us when it happened and she ignored the situation. After ⌚ 10 minutes someone came and took the mess away. I thought that she would be grateful for the free advertising!!! But when I asked for the check, although we didn't get a new ? food or ? drinks. She didn't take the ? drinks or the ? food off, where the brocken ? glass was in!!! I had to ? pay for everything!!! I was very disappointed.!!!! The manager needs to understand how to treat the customers.

We had the restaurant recommended by a Portuguese who often dined here with his family. We would never have found it by ourselves. To be sure you better make a reservation, a lot of local people couldn’t be seated. We choose a tasting menu: Bread and a beautiful cheese as a starter. Next a very tastefull local sausage Next 2 fish dishes Octopus’s 10 arms ? Codfish - Bacalhau ???? This is a must in Lisboa Then 2 dishes Calv snitzel, so tender and juicy Beef , even better. Like cubes of entrecôte’s with pepper sauce Dessert Crème brûlée Chocolate dessert 2 bottles of wine 1 bottle of water Espresso 2 Portwine of high quality We were 2 and we could only eat the half. The rest was nicely packed into alucontainers. I guessed the price was close to 140 euros Only 78 euros So we tipped the watier 10 euro Please You must trie this restaurant We will return if we we come back to Lisboa ?

Really nice traditional food. Absolutely awful service - we asked for the bill patiently 6 times. We were waiting more than 30 minutes after first asking. Absolutely go for the good food - but be aware that once you've started eating you are no longer worth serving well.

A great place for breakfast. Fresh sandwiches, pastries, orange juice and good coffee. Friendly staff quick and efficient. They won the top prize for their Pastel de nata in 2019

Very good pastel de nata, cinnamon ice cream and coffee, and very friendly service. Place definitely worth visiting while in Lisbon.

A real portuguese experience. The food was very good. You need quite the appetite even with a half portion. Of note, they don't take cards-credit. Wasn't impressed as I had no more euros.

Perfect little local place with a range of delightful pastries. My husband loved the fresh squeezed OJ each morning of our visit to Lisbon. I highly recommend the cappuccino and custard tarts with some of the flakiest pastries around.

Nice little bakery close to San Jorge castle - we went there to grab some food to go. Even though it was busy, the service was quick and efficient. We tried Pão de Deus and Croissant with Porto wine. Both were really tasty and fresh - the croissant was amazing!

This small, traditional Portuguese restaurant in Lisbon city centre is fantastic. Food is excellent, served in the typical Portuguese style - full of flavour and good value for money. The restaurant is always busy, so you should expect to have to queue for a table. It’s well worth it. Mostly frequented by locals and Portuguese, it’s a great place to get to know some people and have interesting discussions. Don’t expect a quiet table; you’ll be seated near lots of other people in a very small space, so be prepared for lively chat and fairly limited space. From start to finish, an absolutely perfect lunch.

We dropped in by chance, strolling in the area. There was no tripadvisor mention of this place. This was the most amazing meal we had so far. Do not skip this place

This was the best pastel I ever had. What more do you want? The best part was it never had a long line during our entire stay, probably because of the hilltop location. However, service was a bit slow. Worth it for that fresh pastel. It is easy to get to from the free elevator at the Chão do Loureiro building up to Restaurante Zambeze’s terrace, then walk uphill for three minutes.

Delicious freshly made pastel de nata and coffee. Lovely selections of extra food and drinks too. Great location near Sao Jorge Castle and very reasonably priced. You can also see your delicious pastries being made!

Very good and typical Portuguese food. Staff very kind and located in the historical heart of the city. Incredible Bacalhau (codfish). Each plate to share between 3 ppl minimun!! Must repeat with family or friends!
