Quiet and pleasant place in Portoalegre. We ate on the way to Braga and it was very good. Unbeatable treatment, the very friendly owner, decoration about the world of bullfighting without fanfare, good food and a reasonable price.
We spontaneously asked for a table. The restaurant was actually fully booked but the owner offered us a table from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. until the table was occupied. We weren't easy guests but he took great care of us and explained all the cuts of the meat to us. The food was extremely good. I have rarely eaten such a simple, delicious dish. Unfortunately we were only in Portalegre for one day. Definitely visit. Regional authentic food at the highest level. A lasting experience.
Excellent place for lunch. In addition to the menu, they also had extra menu options. One of those options was braised fresh tuna which was excellent. I recommend booking as there are not many seats.
