The food was very well cooked and delicious (we had pork belly and cockerel). The service was very good and the place itself is beautiful. The food is a bit pricey but considering how tasty it was it was and how good the service was, it was worth the money.

Great place for typical Portalegre food. Unique and peaceful atmosphere. There are no soft drinks, just wine, water or homemade natural juices, which are delicious.

The weak can be used as a homonym for the restaurant experience.
Starting with the bread, which despite the great Alentejo bread being easily available, was hard and tasteless. Olives followed the lean trend.
The tomato soup looked like a pizza base, and as the grandson of an Alentejo grandmother, I found it uninteresting and commonplace.
On the other hand, the largemouth bass soup was less negative, despite tasting like fish and nothing else.
The weak one was just that. Certainly accommodated to fame, not to be repeated.

The place is beautiful, an old monastery. The worst thing is the service, the waiters were quite unpleasant, the one who is supposed to be the sommelier treated us with quite a bit of contempt. The food is very scarce for the price. What I liked the most was the wine despite having a slightly expensive price. I do not recommend it nor will I return.

The food could be better given the location. Little variety for children, which is annoying for families.

Of the snacks on the table, I highlight the tripe wrapped in Lombarda (with a drizzle of olive oil) to the prawn rice and weak curry, all exceptional ?

Everything's good! Historic space, half sophisticated, half rustic, impeccable service and wonderful food. It's a shame to be 250km from home, but that's it, I came here on purpose and with new friends for sure. Many congratulations to the owners, the waiters and whoever is in that kitchen, who must be very ahead of the curve for the quality that was served. ??
