And it’s difficult to find the words to describe this exceptional cuisine created by a passionate person who goes all the way… The journey begins with the eyes because the dishes are served in ceramic dishes made by Portuguese artists. The 11-course menu (don't be scared, we'll easily reach the end!) is a succession of incredible flavors based 80% on fish or shellfish caught in the Algarve. Everything is local, organic, homemade (including bread and butter). Passionate about fermentation, chef Joao creates incredible combinations! A real treat ! I only gave the atmosphere 4 stars simply because I'm claustrophobic and the room has no openings. Everything else was perfect ? thank you

An incredible gastronomic experience with very unique and regional ingredients from the Algarve, João is a brutal one man show on all levels, from the ceramics that are used, to the food and even containing rare ingredients, but nothing beats his passion for the region from the Algarve, it's contagious, I won't talk much about the food as all experiences are different but it's definitely a place to return to and an experience to relive.

Unique restaurant. It's the boss and us. Restaurant that has a maximum capacity for 6 people, but on the night we went it was just the two of us. The chef does all the work: cooks and serves at the table. The only thing that exists is the customers, bad people. It is an extraordinary and different concept. Regarding the food, there are 11 very good moments accompanied by the chef's friendliness and good disposition.

We were visiting The Algarve for our honeymoon and had dinner at Loki, which was the highlight of our trip. It was only us and Joao, the amazing chef behind Loki. Joao does everything himself: from fish washing to prep to serving. Each of the 11 courses has a personal story for Joao. Even each ingredient used in the dishes was thoughtful, with Joao personally sourcing everything himself. The food itself was spectacular. It rivals some Michelin starred restaurants we've been to. The wine pairing was amazing as well - Joao served unique wines from the region. The experience overall was nothing short of amazing. We stayed an hour away and it was well worth the drive!
