Had lunch here on 3 occasions in the last 2 weeks. Very good Tapas, Soup, and salads. Good service and a chocolate mousse to die for. Everything home made and fresh. Highly recommended.

If you want a different experience, this is the place. The tapas are very good, but the salad is to die for, wonderful, although maybe a little expensive for what it is.

Amazing little cafe right opposite our holiday accommodation, it was recommended to us by the owner of the villa. We went at about 2pm and there were lots of locals there eating, as well as some other British tourists. The staff were friendly and spoke good English. We had some bread and olives to start, then my husband had piri piri chicken and chips and I had vegetable lasagne (the vegetarian options were very limited but I'm used to that on holiday), when the food came it was incredible. My husband said it's the best piri piri chicken he's had. The lasagne was so cheesy! We also had beers with our meal (warning, large beers are 1l) and then we had tart to finish, I had almond and my husband had the Algarve tart. When the bill arrived we were very pleased, it all seems so cheap! Will definitely have to go back again while we're still here.

Parking: Plenty of parking out the front.

Great authentic Portuguese restaurant. Loved the family vibe. It's obvious that the owner pours a lot of love and pride into the food. The Monkfish Skewers were absolutely amazing!

Very good option very close to Alvor. They have lunch menus with couverts, soup, drink, main dish and coffee. I recommend to try the mosquito with the coffee, it's a local drink.

An enjoyably simple dining experience. Enough choice, friendly staff and really tasty food. Enjoy a more local feel. I certainly did.

Whatever we ate from soups and salad to fish and steak, everything was very delicious! We hope to come here again when we visit algarve in the future. Owner and the employees were very kind and gentle. Thanks a lot for the amazing dinner. There is park for cars in the facility.

Absolutely delicious food, bargain menu of the day 7euros. Staff busy but friendly and efficient. Only down side is we couldn't use the pool because of covid but it's still open to families. Well worth seeking out.

Typical portuguese restaurant in Alvor area, Casa d'Avó Maria is a calm and relaxing restaurant where you can have a meal of a daily variety of fishes or some other daily meals. They also have some other fixed dishes (meat, etc). We tried a normal grilled fish "Dourada" and it was ok. It was accompanied by a typical salad from Algarve, which is good. For starter we tried a soup that was also good. If you're passing by and want to have a calm meal faraway from the center confusion this is the place. The staff was really frieandly also, so, 4*'s.
