The experience went super super well, I'm not giving any more stars because there are no more than 5?

We went at 9pm, very well served, super attentive, we ate garlic shrimp, beef chops, cuttlefish and everything was divine, we also ate bitsoques, the only thing that would improve was the French fries which instead of being industrial would become homemade, but overall it went well. It's ok, you're super friendly, the environment is peaceful.
I will definitely be back.

I visited based on the reviews, and I didn't regret it.

If you are looking to eat good seafood and good fish for a good price and fresh, this is your place. Everything is great in relation to quality and price, you can see the quality of the product when eating since from what our waiter Rui tells us it is a traditional place that has always been there. Rui gave us exceptional service, super attentive and friendly at all times.

We went to dinner here thanks to the reviews the restaurant had and the truth is that it did not disappoint us at all. Before eating, I always like to highlight the service of the waiter, who in this case was Rui, super attentive at all times, very friendly and explained everything to us perfectly despite not understanding Portuguese well, super professional.
Regarding food, we had a seafood tray for dinner that was obviously fresh from the day and not frozen, we also tried a meat dish and it was delicious. Also, thanks to Rui's recommendations, we ordered two glasses of wine to accompany it with the seafood and the truth is that it was a success. If you want to eat fresh fish or seafood of the day without being hit with the price like in the tourist places, I recommend this restaurant 100%, also you can see that it is the typical traditional village restaurant and it is eaten as God intended without They know the price, there are few establishments like this left and you have to take advantage of them. Thank you very much Rui for your professionalism and also writing a special mention to the chef because the truth is that everything was super good and without a doubt we will repeat! Obrigado

Oddly, was completely empty for dinner on a Thursday night. We almost didn't stay but our other options were all full. The food was alright - shellfish platter and squid was steamed and lacked some flavor. Service was very attentive, especially to detail. The vibe is very local, but almost felt more like a bar than a restaurant. Maybe if we weren't the only ones eating, it would have felt more inviting.

If you want to come to this restaurant be prepared to have your meal in a 100 degree heat inside the restaurant, not air conditioned
it’s like eating in a sauna, I don’t understand how people pay for a meal that you can have any other restaurant in Algarve with a air conditioner, the food it’s like any other restaurant nothing special the only thing special in this restaurant it’s that you can eat in a sauna, don’t understand how people can pay money to eat in a sauna, don’t understand why you charge people money to eat on this conditions.
Are you not making enough money to afford an air conditioner on your restaurant, so people can feel comfortable while eating their food.

I came with a friend to have dinner at the cockle bar and we had a better experience than we expected. The establishment, although it does not have very modern lines, effectively proved to be a regional establishment with experience and quality in service and especially in the quality of the food. Mr Rui, who received us with great professionalism and knowledge, suggested we try a local fish "Liça de Sagres" which completely surprised us. We weren't expecting it, it was much better than we expected. It was much cheaper than most restaurants we tried. Without a doubt a regional restaurant with quality and very affordable. I recommend!

Two adults and one child had dinner for €57.50. We went because of the good reviews and the food is well worth it, the price is very good and the waiter was very friendly and attentive, although there are nuances to take into account.

The first thing is that you enter and it is not a pleasant place that invites you to stay, and even less so if there is a long wait for the waiter to serve you, set up your table and order your food (and it arrives). Everything is very slow, something normal in some areas of Portugal. However, it is the first time we see a waiter who does not use a tray to bring drinks with glasses and cutlery, for example. Instead, he brought a glass and left. He brought another, and left again. That is until he set up the entire table that was missing nothing, very complete, but there you had the only waiter walking around non-stop because he didn't take advantage of the movements. If he did that with each table... To the typical wait in Portuguese restaurants we must add this peculiar way of working. In this sense, I have to mention that he tried to understand your language but he didn't understand anything until he considered it impossible. We asked him four times for some potatoes to be boiled instead of fried, and he repeated fried potatoes. And he brought them fried. That language barrier disappeared when we paid and when he saw that I was leaving with the change, he told me that the tip was not included. He asked me for a tip and I did have to understand him, but our daughter, who had a tummy ache and asked for the boiled potatoes, had to settle for the fried ones and not eat them.

We ordered chicken fillets which were a little stiff, a tuna with vegetables which was delicious and a very good sea bass too. The cockles were a bit salty, not impressive. And we got several with sand and many small broken shells that you didn't see and you ended up putting them in your mouth. We could have put the plate back, but we didn't want any problems because the waiter didn't seem to know anything and took a long time to come. And be careful, the room was almost empty. We were three tables. But as I said, if we don't get some boiled potatoes, it's enough to explain that the cockles were complicated to eat.

As we were leaving, a family arrived and the waiter snorted when he saw people coming in to the point that one of them told him that if he couldn't serve them, they would leave. He told them to stay.

Very delicious food, congratulations to the cook. But the waiter was alone for everything and, on top of that, he goes around a lot, which increases the wait.

Kid-friendliness: They give them a lollipop when they finish.

I read the reviews about this restaurant and decided to try it. I left my car by the Ribeira and walked two kilometers to have an early dinner at this restaurant. I had a craving for shellfish and I selected the big plate with four types of shells - razor clams, mussels, cockles and clams. The beautiful taste of the sea … salty, sweet and the freshness of the shell meat. With some toasted bread that I dipped in the broth, I was in heaven.

Well done!!! Excellent food and fantastic, friendly service.
