Not recommended. If an employee doesn't speak English, shouldn't another employee come and help them? I don't understand the order, so I don't know why they keep telling me to order more.
I don't remember the name of the menu, but I ordered spaghetti with soup and something else added. When ordering a soup dish, I asked if a small size would be better for two people, and I think it would be better to order a small size. So I said give me that... and ordered 2 more pasta and sangria. But the staff seemed to think that was all..? So what is it? But when I looked at the food being served, it was just plain spaghetti. So we ordered something else and I asked why this came out, and I was like, ‘I didn’t order this..?’ I was like, ‘It’s cheap and that’s it.’ After that, he came back and said, ‘This is my favorite food.’ <haha If you're saying this, doesn't that mean you're not good at English??
To be honest, the pasta was so bland that I just sprinkled pepper, cheese, and olive oil on top. But even though I ate all the pasta, the soup didn't come out. So we ordered a soup dish and asked when it would be served, but the male employee serving us said he didn't know and said it would be served. They said they didn’t order it. Are you kidding? We ordered this, but when I complained and wondered what they were talking about, another employee came and checked the order and found that the order had not been placed. Well, this employee doesn’t speak English. If I go in now, it will take a few minutes. But he did it twice!! The male employee who made a mistake ordering twice said he didn't know and stormed out. Honestly, shouldn’t I at least apologize?
The food wasn't delicious, I don't know why it had such a high rating, the customer service was the worst, and I was so angry at two ordering mistakes that I just ate some spaghetti and left and went to my dorm and had some ramen. It tastes better that way.

I try to speak portuguese.so I asked for an imperial (a small beer) it even had it on the menu as imperial. I think its because I'm English the waitress challenged my choice and said small or large an imperial is a small beer I said its on your menu as a small beer why do you doubt that I don't know what I'm asking for. Also the fries are the worst in portimao crispy outer nothing in the middle. Sorry guys but encourage the use of portuguese

Ever since my wife and I grabbed our first Magners on ice there and met the lovely owners it's our go to restaurant whenever in Pria Da Rocha. Staff never miss a beat and the owners and their family are the soul that makes this place so astounding. Don't even get me started on the food! EVERYTHING... yes! Every item on their menu is amazing. Uber compliments to the chef who could only be described as a culinary octopus (?) in the kitchen. Even when the place is completely packed, your order comes out as if there were maybe 5 patrons. If you're ever in Pria da Rocha, you need to have at least 1 meal here and I guarantee you will keep going back.
Update: Nothing changed. Still great variety of food (Portuguese and Dutch specialties) and still the great family running it. You can't go wrong with Senhora da Rocha.

What a great place this is with its view across the beach accompanied with excellent food. The staff are very helpful as my wife has a gluten intolerance. The advise what she could have and possible tweaks they could make. Highly recommend a visit, we were not disappointed on the 3 visits we made.

Friendly and helpful staff, quality food and a spectacular sea view
We made a quick stop, whoever serves you really makes a difference, we were served by two waiters, one super friendly and the other saying he didn't speak Portuguese, which was more dry. How so, right? The coffee and apple pie were great! Facing the sea. Incredible view, cozy place.

Pretty view, food horrible. The oil used for the fish tasted off, in fact I was sick an hour after we left. No lemon, forgot the salad too. Their fries were good, that’s it. We’re local to the Algarve, shame we won’t be returning here again. Give this one a miss.
