Villa Alvor is a beautiful young winery in the Algarve, offering a simple wine tasting menu for €10 per person, with more extensive options available. The wines are accompanied by decent measures and explanations, and visitors can purchase reasonably priced bottles, including pink and red varieties, to enjoy the serene setting as the sun sets.
The winery has about 160 hectares of vineyards, growing a wide range of varietals, including blended wines and single-varietals. Customers have described the wines as "amazing," with the Negra-Mole being particularly outstanding and an incredible deal at 11 Euros a bottle.
Visitors can also enjoy a lovely veranda with a view of the vineyards, although some construction work is currently underway. The winery offers a warm welcome, with staff providing knowledgeable explanations about the wines and pairing them with crackers, cheese, and jam.
