Very nice place. Lovely wine tasting session. Crackers cheese and jam to split between wines. Lots of water.
Outside the veranda is lovely but as it was 34 degrees with a warm breeze inside was a welcome option.
Reasonably priced wines to buy after.

A lovely, family owned winery just outside of Portimāo. They have about 160 hectares of vineyards, growing a wide range of varietals. They have some blended wines, as well as single-varietal. All of the wines I tasted, were amazing. In particular, the Negra-Mole was outstanding and an incredible deal at 11 Euros a bottle.
I booked a wine tasting for myself and my wife. We arrived a bit earlier than our booked time and were greeted warmly by Hannah in the shop. She checked us in and asked us to choose where to sit outside over looking the vineyard and our tasting began. She explained each wine really well and the sample size was perfect about have a glass, a good half. She also let us try and extra wine that she mentioned. Each wine was very nice and married with the scenery. We really enjoyed our time there.
Two small things to be aware off they are currently doing some renovations, so there is some building noise but to be honest you can zone this out. Secondly, better signage would help. We used taxi's to get to and from and both drove passed the winery.
Very good, recommendedSimple wine tasting menu €10/pp, ( more extensive available) decent measures of wine all explained by Ana, followed by a brief tour and explanation of the winery.Picked up a couple bottles of wine at the end, very reasonable priced. They are in the process of extending the building so be prepared for some disruption.
Beautiful young Quinta in the Algarve with beautiful wines from their country to taste at the regular tables.Very surprising and a nice short tour by the sweet lady of the house. And bought 2 boxes of pink and red.
Low quality wine - rip off spot for tourists!
What a lovely little winery, just 30 minutes from where we were staying in Alburfeira. Ana was very helpful and it was delightful to sit there as the sunset with the birds singing away. Nice way to end the day. Reasonably priced tasters
My friend forgot his jacket at this winery and they actually did not return it!! Pretty sure it was stolen by the owners as there was no one else in the winery that afternoon apart from us and it was an expensive jacket.More overt the owner "accidentally" misunderstood that we ordered the more expensive wine tasting menu and overcharged us that way.Left us with a sour taste from this trip.
Very disappointing experience of tasting very small 7 glasses for 43 Euros! 6 of the 7 wines were of very poor quality and the staff had no interest or knowledge giving any explanation about the wineA rip off and to be avoided at all costs!!

The wine tasting was a really nice experience. Villa Alvor is the only vineyard in the region that is even open on Sundays. Our local guide welcomed us warmly and spoke enthusiastically about this small winery. We were poured 4 wines and made sure we got a full glass! We booked the Tour of Portugal for 25 euros and were very satisfied.
We had a wine tasting with Lisana and can highly recommend it. Half glasses were always poured for the wine tasting. We had 4 wines (25€): a Vinho Verde, a Rosé, and two red wines. We liked the last red wine best, which we then bought a bottle of (€9). Lisana told us about the origin and special features of each wine. After she poured us the fourth wine, she showed us around the winery and explained the production process. We had a great time here.
Lisana was a great host. We really enjoyed the wine tasting. The winery is beautifully located between orange groves. We can recommend a wine tasting in Villa Alvor to anyone who wants to learn more about the culture and wine region in Portugal.
Very disappointing for 25€ 4 half glasses of mediocre wines. At least I didn't have to read the label myself. Otherwise no information, not even a piece of bread.
The most beautiful and relaxing little spot. Hannah was absolutely lovely and gave us a little tour of the wine process. A real little gem ?
