The fish stew was downright one of the best that I had ever tasted. I was apprehensive that the monkfish would be tough, but to my surprise the owner managed to make it immerse in the soup's flavour while remaining succulent tender. 100% would recommend.As is the case with all restaurants in Portugal, remember to let the restaurant know if you do not want the bread/butter/olives. Those are NOT free, but they will not charge you if you tell them that you don't want it before touching it.

The most authentic Portuguese culinary experience. Fresh seafood! Take a dessert ? as well. The place is small, can be waiting lines.
When you arrive to Zizá the first thing you’ll see it’ll be a small place with some humbly dressed tables. But even if it looks too simple, the food they prepare there is delicious. I tried the “arroz de ligueirão” and I can that was the best dish I tasted in Portugal so far! Besides that, the service is excellent. The only is remark is: book before going because it gets crowded too fast.

Food was lovely - we ate all of it. However: we ordered the codfish which was €13.50 - they had run out of codfish so we asked the waiter what we could have instead that was similar in taste and price. He offered us a portion of grouper(without showing us the menu again with the prices)which, we admit, was delicious. When the bill came we saw that the grouper was €35 instead of being similar to the price of what we had originally ordered! We paid for it as we had eaten it all and had enjoyed it but, in future, make sure you ask the price instead of just trusting the waiter. Everything else was great.

De beste Cataplana’s ooit gegeten in de Algarve en dit een sfeervol klein Portugees restaurantje tussen de locals! Zeker een aanrader! Ook de octopus salade en de vleesgerechten zijn superlekker!
