No matter how many times i go to Praça Velha is always amazing. The atmosphere is great, the Chef does great food and the kitchen is managed so well that ot comes out in good time and spot on. Dino, the owner is also an great host, always chating and making you comfortable and of course all the staff are allways nice and happy.. recommended for sure. Any time i go to Madeira i visit Praça Velha

Wheelchair accessibility: It's pretty ruff for wheelchairs around the restaurant. Mostly due to the ground surface, the indoors of the restaurant has full accessibility. And they have a ramp to acess it.

It has been such a nice experience dining and having poncha in this place. The waiters were always happy and the atmosphere was vibrant.

Terrific food (would recommend the limpets and rice with shrimp) and even more terrific staff - the waiter with the big smile knows how to make you feel welcome and goes beyond for you and other tables at the same time. Big recommend!

Poor service. During rush hour, the waiters are extremely rude and not attentive. We got asked to leave our table and wait after having sat there for 15min waiting for service as it was apparently reserved for a family.
