The staff is nice and the food looks good, but the taste is missing. * Coquilles were overfried, basically burned and were like a rubber. Only a couple of them on the very top were ok. * Tuna tataki tasted more like a stake than a tataki. And it was served with completely tasteless boiled vegetables. * The salad had kinda wired mix of tastes that were not entirely well together. * Only the veneson was ok, but also served with the tasteless vegetables. And on top of it the bill was quite expensive for Madeira. All in all I would not recommend to have a dinner here.

We booked in this restaurant for a meal at 12 p.m. except that when we arrived we were placed on tables off-centre from the "real" reception room, on armchairs not suitable for eating because the restaurant was expecting a large group to dine The evening. Het eten ziet er goed uit qua looks maar de smaak mist helaas. Voor deze prijs (hier op Madeira) verwacht je betere kwaliteit. De porties ook wat klein. Wel mooi restaurant van binnen maar wat sfeerloos.

Had the duck - it was WAY oversalted to the extent of being nearly inedible. It was just bad. The outdoor seating area was fine, but there's definitely better on the island. The hotel was undergoing construction at the same time, and there was the noise of constant power tools. I arrived at an odd time, between lunch and dinner - the server forgot that I was there and waited for quite some time to order my food. 3 stars because when I did see her she was nice enough. When it came time to pay for the bill, I just went inside and paid at the bar. After the environment and the food I really just wanted to get out of there. I wanted to like it, but there just wasn't much to like.

We were hotel guests and as there don't seem to be many restaurants open in the evening in Porto Moniz we went to Lapa Bay.
First he played Christmas music (at the end of April).
The cod was good but the steamed (or boiled) vegetables added a lot of water to my plate.
My husband's fried ravioli was supposed to be beef but the meat was so thinly chopped and in limited quantity that it only tasted like breading.
And we both had an unidentified neon pink sauce on our plate.
It wasn't memorable.

Hello, I don't understand the bad reviews. We ate extremely well. The presentation of the dishes was very beautiful, the flavors delicious, with a perfect mix of textures. I had the limpet ravioli with cream cheese and my husband had the steak rossigni, we really enjoyed it. For dessert we opted for a cheese plate to share. Beautiful, well-stocked board, nicely presented with lots of cheeses and an assortment of fresh, dried fruits and nuts. In summary, a great discovery, I recommend!

We did full menu course (entres, appetizer, main dish, dessert, beers). Amazing food, every person working here is kind and has a smile for you, meal presentation is beautiful, ambience is so nice, on a saturday night they also hed an acoustic duo playing... We were so happy with everything! Would recommend to everyone and can't wait to come back!
