Don't expect them to treat you kindly, they make money with their eyes closed.
The lousy treatment.

Positive point: Nice setting because in the middle of natural swimming pools and it's the only one!
Don't waste your money here. I ordered a tuna salad, inedible, they put the tuna and all the oil in the can... everything was bathed in it, no other seasoning and the egg was green at the bottom.. I left hungry because almost nothing ate! 10€ for that...

This restaurant/café is located in a beautiful location next to the volcanic baths in Porto Moniz. The staff is just not very friendly and hospitable. In addition, the food is of a fairly simple and poor standard. We ordered a Steak on Plate and two Roast Chicken. You could throw away half of the meal (bad and fatty/soggy piece of meat). I have to say that the price is also too low to expect too much from it. It's better to just have a drink here.

Great location but we waited in vain to get served for a long time and went elsewhere.

Cola without ice and unfortunately not cold.

Fries were ok but very expensive for the quantity.

The ham sandwich is not recommended. A scandal for the price.

We happened to pass by and wanted to have something to eat.
The staff was not friendly and the food was very bad and very expensive.
We had chicken with some fries and you could leave half of the chicken…
The fries were also soggy.

Great experience, but not a cheap place. We paid 55€. We tried octopus for starters, it was delicious. The food was great. The waiter was really good, he recommended what to order

Very bad and rude service

The most expensive and worst coffee we drank in Madeira. Cappuccino has as much frothed milk as flat white and doppio is more American. This is not what you expect from a place that has "café" in its name. The only plus is the view of the swimming pools, I do not recommend it.

Unfortunately, only the view is very good. The food wasn't good. From my point of view it is at most a snack stand and not of good quality. The food was beautifully presented. The service was ok. Pmmes ok too. The meat and sandwitch were miserable and the salad was just not ok.

We ended up there by mistake because we wanted to go to Cachalote, and were attracted by the open-air terrace. The waiters don't have time and are in a hurry when taking orders. Not a smile. I couldn't eat my dish, being allergic to shellfish. They put it in all the accompaniments without specifying it on the menu. Get angry when we just ask for a salad without the seafood rice. 40 min to get our drinks.
It looks more like a tourist trap where you have to make numbers.
Besides the restoration, the decor is nice because we find ourselves in the middle of natural swimming pools. That's the only positive point.

Dietary restrictions: Flee if you are allergic to shellfish and seafood like me

Friendly setting
The waiters seem delighted to work (irony)
Poor quality dishes, meat very complicated to cut with the (butter) knives provided
No water or bread offered
Acceptable limit price given the quality
