Unfortunately the food was not convincing. The meat was very dry (chicken skewer) and the French fries were soggy. The garlic bread was ok. The service wasn't particularly friendly either. It's a shame because it's well located and generally supplied with good products.

Good steaks, both meat and chicken. The spaghetti for the children was average because it was very spicy, very strong flavor.

We ate as a family and the service was good and the food was very good, we ordered the expected meat and chicken and everything was very good, they also serve it with salad and rice.
For the children we ordered spaghetti bolognese but they were too far apart and not very tasty.
The price is acceptable for the area, 4 people eating typical dishes €70.

The staff did not speak much English, but that can be forgiven. What's worse is that we waited a really long time for the food and for 45 euros (for two) we got a meal that in the end was not so good. Maybe other things on the menu are better but our fish mix plate was very average.

If you have half a day, you can go for a drink... Food good, atmosphere ok and waiting time out of this world

Horrible service, employees who forgot the order several times, raw mushrooms and completely browned steak and even added things wrongly to the final bill. I don't recommend anything. VERY BAD!

Worst restaurant experience ever! The ambience was bad, the food was dry and bland, the service was disinterested, the prices were completely exorbitant for the quality, we found the price-performance ratio to be a tourist rip-off, the service didn't ask about satisfaction, although I ultimately left the store obviously pissed off, that never happens otherwise.
1st dish: Octopus: For €24, tough as leather, no salt, pepper or other seasoning - zero! Just drowned in cheap, bland oil, just like the few, soggy pieces of onion. Dry fries, no taste, same with the potatoes.
2nd dish: Chicken breast on a skewer, extremely dry and barely seasoned, no dip, no sauce, nothing! Completely dry rice, perfect side salad made from a few lettuce leaves and dry shredded beetroot - zero dressing!

Service mediocre (rather long wait). Food OK. Steak however not at all medium rare as requested. Okay for once, but there are better alternatives in Porto Moniz.
I don't think it's an expensive place. The food was delicious, except that I didn't like the apple pie very much. I like it with grated apples, but this one had sliced apples. We drank 2 x 2 dl of red wine, my husband had beef served on a traditional skewer with a side dish, I had black fish with a side dish, and 2 apple pie. It was 52 eu.. I can only recommend this place.

We can definitely recommend the restaurant! Pasta was delicious, brownie was delicious and the fish platter for two people was amazing ??
Straight forward, but rather tasty food.
We ate here twice. Both times the food was pretty good. Might be indeed the best place in Porto Moniz (we’ve tried 3 other best rated places in the town, 2 out of which were meh).
The octopus was amazing though.
I love it here and the food is awesome and the cheff really knows how to cook and the service is amazing
