“We made a stop at this place for an ice cream after researching a bit on google about a good ice cream place
In Braga. We were not let down. It is a really good quality gelato. We had the pistachio, hazelnut, and chocolate. Awesome taste for the 3 flavours. Highly recommended.”

“The meal is of excellent quality, the service is satisfactory. The environment is a little cramped and sunny. This is because Rua de D. Diogo de Sousa is sometimes busy.”

“Amazing restaurant! We stumbled upon this place after the first place we went to was booked, and I'm very glad we did. Excellent, honest food without frills at exceedingly fair prices.
For lunch they do the old-school set menu thing with soup plus a choice of 3 or 4 mains. Plus a big jug of tap water for free. Price was 7 euros for just the main or 8 with soup. There's also a selection of desserts at extra cost, around 3 euros each. Everything we ordered was fantastic: veal stew, squid with beans, cheesecake, caramel mousse and chocolate mouse. The setting is also great - nice, funky decor and a very comfortable terrace out back.
The overall vibe was great - you could this is a real passion project. There aren't many places like this around anymore. If you're in Braga, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won't regret it.”

“I had been wanting to visit this place for about two years. Now, taking advantage of a few days of rest, I decided to try it out. And it didn't disappoint. Everything excellent, good snacks/brunch. Lots of options to please everyone. Very cozy place and very friendly service. I recommend a visit. You will definitely find something to your liking.
Venting aside... I understand the location, but for those who live in the surrounding area, parking and access are difficult. And on another note, it is a shame that this concept has not yet been adopted in the city of Braga. It was the only one of this genre I found. Something like this would be great to escape the many snack bars that are everywhere. Specialty Coffe places are accurate.”

This added greatly to the overall dining experience, which was relaxing and memorable. Finally, the price of the meals was very fair in relation to the quality of the dishes and the service offered. “I visited this space after reading the reviews written here and I couldn't have left more satisfied! The space is beautiful and very peaceful. The menu is extensive and has options for all tastes and budgets. The dishes chosen were divine! It is, without a doubt, a reference in the city of Vila Nova de Famalicão.”

“Daily menu always includes fish and meat dishes made on the day. We chose to order it with dessert and it was worth the price. They also serve pizza but we didn't get to try it.”

“One of those hidden secrets in the city of Braga, known for its excellent location in front of the Braga Cathedral (Zé de Braga) and with its terrace overlooking the cathedral; It is unfair not to mention its immense variety of beer and its otherwise typical and comfortable interior space.”

“A typical restaurant, a little out of the way, but that's exactly why it's worth a visit. The restaurant seems to be less visited by tourists, which we like.
The specialty is suckling pig. The food was very tasty and sufficient (even if we had the impression that local regulars had bigger opinions)
The prices were reasonable.
We'd love to come back.”

“I really liked the espresso and the setting. My wife had a chocolate crepe which was also good.
On the other hand, we ordered a raspberry smoothie, and we were given a glass of water filled with crushed ice with grenadine syrup...a little long service and not very smiling waiter. Go there in particular for the nice setting.”

“Very friendly service, very clean and delicious food.
For starters we had:
A good ham, a delicious alheira and some fritters that are not to be missed; and we also tried some tripinhas that were very well prepared.
As a dish we were recommended (and very well) a very tasty veal steak served with delicious vegetable and ham rice and mushroom rice.
For dessert we had a super delicious and freshly made homemade coconut pie.
To complete the meal, coffee (can and should improve the quality) accompanied by strawberry xiripiti.
Completing all this is the magnificent service from Miguel and Diogo and some kind words from the person responsible for making all these delicacies.
A very pleasant experience (*****)
Next time we will try to try Anho and ribs rice.”

“I loved the Restaurant. Great food, . Sensational quality-price ratio. The dishes are huge, you have to go hungry. If you want to try Francesinha this is the perfect place. They also have about 3 fresh dishes of the day and it is usually fish, soup, meat. Families from Braga usually go so you will find Portuguese flavors and not as much touristy as in El Centro. The owner, Vitor, a very kind, polite man, advises you very well. Super recommended. The desserts are very good. It has everything homemade and also ice cream from the fridge.
Kid-friendliness: They have a children's menu and also the owner gives them free gum and candy when they leave.”

“In a busy tourist thoroughfare like Rua Augusta in Lisbon you can find a lot of mediocre or outright bad food….but not at Cozinha d’Avo Celeste. This restaurant looks and sounds like the many others around it, but our lunch here was a pleasant surprise. One of us had Fish and Chips (always a good bet in Portugal) while the other had Vegetable Paella. Both meals were tasty. If you seek a decent lunch to fuel you for an afternoon of Lisbon hill climbing, then try this place!”
