My wife, 5 year old daughter and I just had the most lovely meal. My wife and I had the Scruff and beef rump and it was delectable and delicious. It was accompanied by a piping hot mushroom risotto and roasted vegetables. The meat was melt in your mouth and perfectly seasoned.
The kids menu was delightful. A well received vegetable soup was first. The main course was a moist and savory chicken breast with handmade potato chips (north american thin chips not the UK colloquialism for French fries). My daughter nearly ate the entire thing but the generous portion was just a little too great for her 5 year old belly.
The dessert was a simple vanilla ice cream that was creamy and not-too-sweey. A beautiful end to a fabulous meal.
We had the wonderful opportunity to meet the Chef, Rul Santos. He regaled us with some of the history of the local vermouth and the founding of the restaurant itself. We cannot recommend the restaurant enough to anyone and everyone. 5 stars!

Coming from Lisbon to the north for more than seven years, I knew that one of the positive points would be discovering new flavors and cultures... How is it possible, right next to our house, that we never had the opportunity to visit this magnificent restaurant? The dishes we tried were exceptionally well prepared and full of Portuguese flavor.

The space, service and food are excellent, very friendly and welcoming staff, full of attention to small details and the price is very reasonable. The only negative point of the restaurant is the fact that the tables for 2 people are very close together, which takes away some privacy. but everything is so perfect that this small detail ends up being irrelevant.

Classy and cozy restaurant with a highly professional chef/owner. He came out after our meal to greet us and ask how we enjoyed the food and offer us a local liqueur. The food is exquisite as you would expect from a proud chef, the staff is professional, welcoming and courteous and the setting and decor is delightful. A real gem that is worth the visit, thank you Chef Rui!

I discovered this space through a gift I received and it was one of the best experiences I had in a restaurant. The service is excellent, the care, the kindness, the atmosphere, the background music simply wonderful. The food was divine, we had a starter offer from the chef who left it as a great and affectionate business card. We opted for a cheese and sausage board accompanied by warm starter bread and aged meat which was super tasty, a super light and delicious cheesecake dessert. Without a doubt an experience to repeat. Thankful to those who gave me this opportunity!Observation: What I really didn't miss in this whole concept was the television, which despite not having sound, I don't enjoy watching the news, which nowadays is also very heavy... It's a suggestion to put it on a lighter and more interesting channel, such as art, gastronomy, music or travel.
