I and three others just had an incredible dining experience at Theatro! It was recommended to us by another restaurant who knew that Theatro could accommodate one of our group member's gluten-free needs (due to celiac disease).
We sat in the patio-type area and enjoyed the warm sun. Eduardo is not only an owner but he also served us. He sat down at the table with us and walked through the gluten-free menu options, indicating which items were good to go, as is, and which ones could be modified to ensure a safe dining experience. He also provided assurances of the measures the restaurant undertakes to ensure there is no cross-contamination. Two of us had the braised chicken salad with parmesan and tartar sauce. We both agreed that it was one of the best-tasting and freshest salads we had ever eaten. The other two ordered the octopus with roasted potatoes and brochollini and rated their meals at 13 out of 10!
The entire dining experience was made so pleasant by Eduardo's attention to detail and concern for the dietary needs of our group. He was incredibly friendly and offered wonderful tips for our vacation. It made for a relaxing and enjoyable lunch - a wonderful introduction to Portugal for our guests! We plan on visiting again multiple times during this trip and highly recommend to others.
