I say it was one of the best francesinhas I've ever eaten, the alcatara steak was authentic butter, the sauce was really on point. Better still, I was in front of the kitchen and the grill lady is always cleaning the grill, a rare cleaning to see. The friendliness of both the owner and the waiters, always concerned and helpful. I highly recommend it.

I was a customer for many years, I decided to revisit União which had had a positive impact on me for many years, I went more than once a week, and for me it was one of the best francesinhas in Póvoa at the time. A Friday lunch at the end of July, almost empty house, strange but we continued of course....We were pushed to the back of the restaurant to a corner, where there were also only 3 to 4 tables. Without much logic because as soon as you enter it seems empty... and the impact of a house counts on all levels... But from what I understand, it's just a logistical strategy from boss Jorge, who controls everything and nothing escapes him. Order placed. . 30 minutes of waiting, she was already desperate due to the delay... if not, I'm amazed by a serving cart made entirely of stainless steel, like a French Michelin star, yes, an IN0X cart like the ones that serve meals in hospitals, but here just some "sad and alone" francesinhas" lost in a horrible stroller... It seems to me that in this house the beautiful traquejo with a tray in the hand has already been lost, it must be very tiring on the back, it's better to push... Wanting to innovate if sometimes it doesn't go very well. We continued without further details, as we came here to eat something. Frenchies. Francesinha itself had no flavor, nothing could be distinguished, the steak was basically the thickness of ham and nothing could be distinguished. It comes lukewarm and should come to a boil or almost.. The potatoes... beautiful, yellow but soft with no flavor... potatoes are as important as a good francesinha. Always crispy. A complete disappointment, I'm sorry, but stagnation is the death of the artist. The market is very demanding and this house accommodated itself with the basics. They don't even bother to have takeaways...there are those who are happy with the minimum, not leaving their comfort zone and closing religiously at the hours they set, others are serious about invoicing and offering an experience to the customer. Good luck, there will be no shortage of customers...
