We really enjoyed our experience - the grills are charcoal instead of gas which added to the flavor. The meat was more thickly cut but it was so delicious that the extra time to cook didn't matter. Yes, there was a wait to receive our food, but this is pretty standard for Portugal and part of the experience of dining out here where connection and community are a part of what we were enjoying. We ordered the rice cakes and several types of meats. The rice cakes were delicious and were great for tiding us over as we cooked the chicken and beef at our table. The meats were very tender and the marinade on them was quite tasty. We enjoyed the sauces on the side a lot as well.
I felt a bit weird ordering anything other than seafood in Portugal, especially the Azores, but I wanted to have something different. The pork was good, even though I was expecting thin slices rather then a whole chop.
