We went to eat. The food was delicious and, for being right in front of the airport, it did not seem expensive to us, although there were also food options within the airport for the same price (I don't know if the same quantity/quality).
The service was fast and friendly.

I haven't had such a bad experience in a restaurant in a long time. Starting with the service, I can only say that it is difficult to be more unfriendly than the lady who received us. When I entered the restaurant and addressed the lady saying good afternoon and said that there were three of us for lunch, the response I got was just a gesture of a hand pointing to a table. I still thought that the lady might be mute but no, after all she spoke, but she spoke reluctantly. We ordered two broth soups and two servings of hake fillets. The soups came, which were good, and then came the fillets. We didn't want to believe what we were seeing. The fillets were black because they were so fried. I went to the employee to complain about the burnt fillets, to which she replied "oh sir, they are hake fillets", as if she wanted to make me believe that hake fillets are served burnt. After stating again that the fillets were burnt, he took the plate out of my hand and after 10-15 minutes he brought new fillets, now with a normal frying time and corresponding color, despite being quite oily. For the water, which my wife and daughter requested, they didn't bring glasses and we had to ask for napkins. In short, terrible service, very bad food (except the caldo verde) and a very unwelcoming space with an intense smell of fried food.

Espresso was very good and strong. Ham sandwich wasn’t great, barely any filling and the bread tasted stale.

I got some kind of crème brûlée rice custard which was excellent.

This is my favorite airport bar in the world. Go across the street before your flight. Excellent espresso! Amazing prices. Save yourself some money and eat well before flying home, wherever you're from. This is the spot!The Polvo the just delicious, a little tangy and a nice sea flavor. Potatoes... Everything perfect!

Visiting Bar Esperança with friends from Lisbon, we were recommended this restaurant. It was an excellent choice. The owner and staff were welcoming and professional. We weren't familiar with some of the dishes but these were explained to us. We were not disappointed with the quality of the food and the service was friendly without being intrusive. Although it was very busy, the ambience was relaxed and comfortable. For anyone who appreciates good Indian food I highly recommend this restaurant.

Great place to spend the time between the flights. The food is good and for a fair price. WiFi is fast, good for remote working. And just 20 second walk from the terminal.

Located in front of the departure terminal of Lajes airport. It gets you out of trouble if you want to eat something before catching your flight. The girl who served us was very friendly.
