Very expensive by Azorean standards. If you sit inside, the toilet door is not a meter away.

Even just for the fact that it has "tapas" in the name, it's the right place for me!
But the real point is the food that exceeds all expectations.

Let's start with an aperitif on the first day on the island of Pico. The place is near the house where we are staying, facing the sea, and does tapas. What more do you want?
We try several: a bulhao Pato (a sort of crostini/bruschetta with mushrooms), caprese açoriana (the same but with fresh cheese and tomatoes), a tabua açoriana (azorean cheese platter) and grilled Lapas. It doesn't disappoint!

Given the proximity, we return after two days, for our post-climb Pico meal at an unlikely time and hungry like few times in life.
We take a hamburger with beef and a bifana no Pao de albacora (translated Sandwich with tuna).
Anything but a tuna sandwich: the bifana is a typical Portuguese bread that is to die for, the tuna was practically a grilled fillet that melted in your mouth placed inside the sandwich. All accompanied by french fries which could have been slightly crispier, but you could feel that they were freshly cut and cooked.

The days were over and we couldn't go back again, but in order to stay there overlooking the sea, we found time to go for one last ice cream.

Oh bonus point for me, the coke I had at both meals was in glass. It's another thing!

I can't say we'll go back, given the 8 hour flight from home, but I can say I would go back! Yes, again! and since we are in report card period... highly promoted!

It's a very pleasant place, by the sea, where you eat simple and very good tapas. The service is pleasant and the menu also offers hamburgers for those who don't like tapas.

Acceptable food, very quiet lunch time, very beautiful view, but the staff didn't pay any attention, as we didn't order any more drinks or desserts. Maybe they should take the service into account.
