I always enjoy a coffee and cake at Pão & Pão when in Vilamoura. A cappuccino and pastel de nata is €5, while an espresso and pastel is somewhere around the €2.50 mark (can’t remember precisely). Only problem I have is that they don’t accept cards, and operate as cash only.
A small cafe with an amazing selection of cakes. We went here several times for lunch on our holiday, and they provide the biggest toastie you will get in the area, so I recommend it for that! The staff do not all speak fluent English, but enough to provide good service.
The best hot chocolate that I had in Portugal (and I had A LOT) - it was almost like pudding! We had absolutely no problem with the staff although they were busy and they did take our credit card. We had chocolate cake, pastel de nata, OJ and hot chocolate (12 euros).
