We recently had a group dinner at this space and we were all fans! The food was great, the staff was hardworking, the space was pleasant, not to mention Dona Carla (the owner of the restaurant) who is a lovely person and made us feel super welcome. It was my first time at Cais, but it won’t be the last! It will be a restaurant to return to, for sure! ?

There were no cards and when we sat down the waiter asked us for our order with the choice between 2 dishes only (salmon or wrap) without even knowing the prices. We asked if there were tapas as it's a tapas bar and there weren't any today. So we took the salmon out of spite and even though it was good the potatoes were reheated and cold. I advise against.

Arrive at a Tapas bar… which doesn’t do tapas! A first. Two choices of dish, prices are not displayed. I had a salmon which was good but the potatoes were reheated and a little salad without seasoning. A little disappointed to have stopped here. On the other hand, the server was helpful.

A pearl in the city. New dishes every day. We ordered a casserole (reminiscent of an Escondidinho) and a grilled Dourado. Both were well served (we ordered 2 dishes for 3, we're not big eaters). They came with salad. they were very tasty.

We stopped in Quarteira whilst killing some time before flying home and decided to get something to eat. We found this place using Google Maps.
My partner and I had fish (bass and bream) which was excellent. Our kids had the usual burgers and chicken wings which were also really good.
Owner was very friendly and service great.
PS - We hope the old casino (across the road) is converted into a theatre and that this transforms the fortunes of the nearby businesses!
