Roger and I have just had dinner here and we have to say it is the best meal we have had in the Algarve. When have eaten here quite a lot and have always had excellent meals. Their prices are extremely good value. The people who serve you, I can’t call them staff because they are more than that ,are so friendly. If you are looking for excellent food never mind the good value for money you won’t find a better place to eat. Katey

I haven’t been here for 6 years or more, just after it changed from family run to the present owner, but I can’t say I and my wife, for whom it was her first visit, were disappointed. I usually visit the Algarve in March, so sitting outside in October was very nice. We had a pleasant table with great staff who looked after us well. Lovely G&T’s and a bottle of house red complemented a really good meal.

Another super meal, and tonight I was very impressed with the service. Some places assume everyone wants the cover, we were asked. Also, was the bread finished with, or did we want it for our main courses? We shared a starter, which I was very pleased to do, as otherwise I wouldn’t have eaten my main course.

Disappointed with service - second visit this week. Service slow - did not offer us a port after dinner ( but all other diners were offered ) - maybe because our 2 guests were Portuguese z???

The service wasn't as efficient as it used to be. The menu hasn't been updated. The garden is full of mosquitoes in September so ask for an inside table.

Wonderful meal with friends from UK. Fillet Mignon was cooked perfectly and the blue cheese sauce was exceptional. I also got to take some home! Service was very quick, and all staff very friendly.

We’ve been coming here for 2 years and I think it is the best restaurant on the Algarve. A real hidden gem - amazing food in a relaxed location but really reasonable. Great for kids and adults alike. Highly recommended. But don’t go when I’m in town - as I want to be sure I can get a table.

We had one of the most amazing meals here. Everyone we was with was so impressed, the food, staff and location are beautiful . We will definitely come back when we return to Portugal.
Returned to this amazing restaurant that boasts using quality home grown ingredients where possible. So glad we returned as it was the best meal of the holiday so far. We had monkfish and prawns, portuguese steak, lamb fillets and chicken in mushroom sauce. All of our dishes were beautiful and served by lovely waiting staff. The house wine was also delicious, the atmosphere was good with some music in the background. Well done Casa Pituxa! We will return next week!!

Lovely restaurant The food is fantastic and the service is very good There are a lot of choices on the menu - I would recommend the steak with mashed potatoes because it was lovely

We went 3 times during our holiday and would have been 4 but I hadn't booked and the restaurant was full. My fault entirely and I certainly wouldn't make that mistake again. We do always go to this lovely restaurant and have done for many years. The food, ambience and the guys who serve are incredible and we so enjoy our evenings. My husband had fish most visits and I had the lamb which was cooked exactly the way I like it. The avocado and prawns are delicious and also the peri peri prawns. Desserts are very nice also especially the fig and walnut ice cream. Will definitely be back next year for, hopefully, even more evenings of great food. The mocktails were really nice as I was always the driver!
