We have been in the Algarve for years and we have never been treated like this. Four tables outside and none inside occupied.It took the owner half an hour to put two beers and an hour and a half to put a house tuna and a lasagna, they charge you separately for the four mini roast potatoes and the salad we ordered never arrived but they charge you for it. When I tell him To discount the salad, he pays for it loudly with the cook in front of everyone present, making a woman over 70 years old cry, who was in the kitchen and at the same time serving at the tables outside. Very nice, not like him.I will never return.I do not recommend it under any circumstances.

Bit of a scam. The manager took out order incorrectly. We challenged and he offered us the dish on the house. When the receipt came and there it was on the bill. He claimed he was joking to say we could have had it on the house. For the cost of €15 he could have had a nice review because the food was actually reasonable, could have even had a tip. But apparently it’s a full house all the time and they don’t need anyone’s business (must be why they have a 2.4 star rating).

I’m really surprised by all the bad reviews of this restaurant. My girlfriend and I have just been for lunch (Saturday lunchtime 23rd Dec) and ordered the traditional Portuguese cover (bread, sardine paste, olives, cheese), sardines to start and both ordered sea bass with fries and salad. Along with a large beer and small bottle of wine the bill came to just short of €70 which for the quality of the food we felt was very good.Now, the sardines were really good - well cooked and nicely grilled over charcoal. But the sea bass was another level. We both got really good sized fish, simply and perfectly charcoal grilled to give that lovely smoky taste, slightly charred around the edges, and nicely seasoned with salt.Food wise, the only issue we had was that the cheese had obviously been left uncovered for a while and was dry around the edges. Otherwise a really nice meal.The staff were all really pleasant and efficient, the food arrived quickly from ordering, and e were checked in to see if everything was ok. The only reason for dropping a star from the atmosphere rating is because there was only one other table of people dining so it was a bit quiet. Otherwise we wouldn’t hesitate to return here. Ww visited for lunch today what a mistake. Overpriced, and the food was awful. Chocos frito with shells, octopus salad looks like potra no taste, potatoes frozen and reheated, but the worst was 1 portion toasted bread 4.50. Will never return.

Do not enter this shady restaurant, especially foreign tourists. They treat all customers like idiots. If I ordered sea bass, they would replace me with smelly carp from the lake. When I find out! The shop owner was very rude and said, "Don't come in if you don't want to eat it. This is sea bass and asked me to pay, my God!" Is this Portugal? Fortunately, I took pictures. I must say that whoever goes to this restaurant will be unlucky and must report it to the health department to have them shut down.
While eating there, I felt watched by the staff as if I had to eat and run away without paying. No possibility to pay by card.

Restaurant not to return!Let's start with the space, dirty... Everything that was on the table was glued together!!! Glasses, cutlery, plates... we ordered a tuna steak and sea bream accompanied by boiled potatoes and mashed potatoes... Nothing was used! The fish was dry, we made the observation that the fish was not fresh and that it was certainly not grilled over charcoal, an observation that immediately received a bad look and that we were not the ones who were mistaken, it was all very well done... Having said that, the difference between the mashed potatoes and the kitchen ones was..... Nothing?! The punches brought olive oil to the dish! It makes all the difference! We ordered white sangria, we didn't even drink a glass... While we were trying to eat something, a group of tourists arrived and ordered some drinks that we couldn't identify, but such is not our surprise when the owner of the house, after welcoming them with a cigarette in his hands, gives up with the luxury of "pushing" the ice that came out slightly over the top of the customers' glasses down a little (inside the drink)... After all this situation we wanted to pay and leave... But we were stuck because the owner wasn't at the establishment, and neither the cook nor the other girl who works there could give us the bill.... I asked for the complaints book, which was denied because the owner was not there... In short, the owner would take a long time on the phone so as not to giving the complaints book even asked us what we wanted to pay... Definitely if there are good reviews they can only be paid....

A thoroughly disappointing dining experience. Very average food but expensive. Front of house really couldn't be bothered. Beer was 2/3 froth. Bottle of water €7! Prices for dishes are just the dish, sides are all extra. Refused to take card payment. At least Dick Turpin wore a mask when he ripped people off. Toilets disgusting. Unless you really want o be disappointed go elsewhere...you'll be glad you did.
