This is now my new favourite bar in the world, so authentic in the midst of the busy Old Town with a great blend of tourists and locals in the most amazing space you can enjoy a beer/ drink. The family team are great hosts, warm, friendly and share a few stories of professional surfing and more! A great place to visit for a quiet drink or as a family to relax.

Ivan and the team give you a warm welcome at what is known as the shell bar. The Sangria is superb and you can enjoy the atmosphere of the best bar in Albufeira. It is a great pleasure to visit this bar every year and a massive thank you to everyone at the shell bar.

Just up the stairs from fishermen s beach behind Italian restaurant.Friendly staff really good drink especially the sangria and good value. What more can you ask .
Had read about this little bar (the shell bar) but had always missed it every year we are in the old town, but is just up the stairs leaving fishermans beach and well worth the visit. A small bar but beautiful inside and out and what a work the owner has done. Nice and chilled and well worth the visit for a lovely cocktail and drinks. Will visit next year.

Loved this place. It's kind of surreal, especially when it turns out it's basically the work of one man (whose family still run it and work behind the bar).

Amazing little place, just tucked away from the busy streets just below. Recommended by a local restaurant owner. Had a good couple of drinks & would have tried more, if only they didn’t just take cash. Such a shame. Based on what we saw, they are losing a lot of business.
