Didn't eat so can't comment. Just went for drinks. It was dead in there. No atmosphere at all. It used to be the place to go but obviously not now. It needs a refurb. Same pictures on the wall for over 25 yrs ! Make it trendy again

Great place for food. Excellent service and live music in the outdoor square.
Extremely family friendly with lovely staff. Exceptional experience. Miguel made us very welcome and quite personable. Gorgeous Gorgonzola sauce with the steak and authentic peri peri chicken. Highly recommend!

We booked a table here because it advertised on Google and Facebook "live music bands". We got a taxi here to find out NO live music ... "maybe in June or July... but karaoke, may be on after 10.30pm ". Disappointing to say the least. Montys need to update their information. Food is over priced and not as stated. Ordered Beef Stroganoff with Angus Beef fillet.. 28 euros. Came in a small bowl, when tipped out.. bottom full of mushroom halves, some strips of beef tasted 'livery' definitely not Angus Beef. Disappointing. Highlight of the evening was a salted caramel expresso martini. Atmosphere not great, screaming children and one's watching Peppa pig LOUDLY on parents phone. Staff pleasant enough. Wouldn't recommend.

Had not been here for 15 years so it was a pleasant surprise to find that the food and service were EXCELLENT!! Great vibe too. Staff very friendly and efficient. I'll be back!!

Absolutely amazing couple of visits! Especially if you're from Britain! Even if your not, very friendly staff and great food! Must visit if you're in monte gordo! Speak to Karl at the bar for any help!
We have eaten at Monty’s at the Praca de Vale do Lobo for many years and all the staff are very pleasant, especially Fernando. The food and service is consistently very good, and children are very welcomed too. The Portuguese Steak is delicious, as well as the Fish and Chips!

Very nice atmosphere, clean and very tasty food! We ate the shrimp kebabs, the teryaki salmon and the black angus stroganoff. All dishes were well served and of high quality, including the suggested dessert. It was a very positive experience on the terrace with the live music and the smiles of the staff. We will be back next year
