The owner is the maitre d’. He is friendly and accommodating. He knows his food allergens very well and also his wines. An excellent white port to start too. The dates and bacon for starter were exquisite and the steaks with sauce O Arco was sooo tender. We went back the next night and would have gone again if the holiday had been longer.

The dishes are good but don't trust the prices displayed on Google, they have increased significantly!!! No wine list or prices so no choice: it was the waiter who gave us a bottle for €23. Prout atmosphere and service!!! 75€ for 1 dish each and a bottle of wine.

To start, the owner John is a very friendly and welcoming host. He was very personal and took time to make sure we were enjoying our food.The black pudding with rasberry jam is a must!What a unique combination!After each course John would come and see if we enjoyed our meal.I would highly recommend this resturant for the service from John and his staff and also his delicious food!I almost forgot, give the "John special" a try! It's a dessert of John's choice and he said he has over thirty combinations !

This spot is great for a quiet homey atmosphere with gourmet food. Everything was delicious! The service was phenomenal and friendly. Worth going off the beaten path for if you’re looking for some good food.
Lovely restaurant the service was very attentive, food was beautiful prepared,real feel of Portugesse hospitality. Definitely will be back lots of interesting food on the menu.

Was really looking fwd to dining here based on previous reviews ? At best consider it mediocre, been here 2 weeks and had much better meals at Bambi who charge 12 euros for 3 courses, Yes it's a nice restaurant to look at at, yes the lamb served was okay and presented nicely, however somewhat overpriced ! The vegetables were luke warm. Just not overwhelmed with the place!

Sometimes the unexpected is the best surprise! Found this restaurant by chance online. Dinner with my husband exceeded all other meals we had on our trip to the Algarve. This coming from the Portuguese-American girl who knows a thing or two about Portuguese food. The mushroom app was amazing. We also had the shrimp starter. The Robalo and Lombo a Arco were fantastic entrees. Tarte de Amendoa was phenomenal. The owner and his staff were meticulous in their service. Would come here again!
