When we arrive at the restaurant, we are always invited to choose what we want to eat in the fish and seafood display. Just when we were about to conclude that portugese cuisine was ho-hum, we had dinner at Restaurante O Cesteiro and were amazed at the selection of seafood and how wonderfully seasoned everything was. Add to that, great dessert and amazing wine from Adega Mayor - Pai Chao Grande Reserva. Absolutely wonderful.??????

Restaurant with a privileged view over the marina, inflating the price for this location, has a good Portuguese food menu, highlighting fish and seafood, delight yourself with excellent sea bass, perfectly prepared and well prepared. Professional and attentive staff
We came to dinnerMediocre service from the first contact. Extremely poor cover chargePrawn soup but without “prawns” There were, before, frozen and bagged shrimp of very small caliber and very difficult to find within the bread.,.Absolutely unacceptable!To top it off, an employee came by and said “they don’t know what prawns are, they must have never eaten them”To be avoided absolutely!J.F.

Bij binnenkomst kies je uit de vitrine je vis. Achter de vitrine hangt een groot menubord met de prijzen. Er is geen menukaart aan tafel. Dus je kiest vooraf je bijgerecht en eventueel voorgerecht.Aan tafel krijg je brood met kruidenboter en olijfjes aangeboden. Daarvoor betaal je (€ 3,- p.p.). Wij hadden een vissoep vooraf die erg smaakvol was. Alleen de huiswijn (wit) gaat per glas (€ 4,50). Maar die was erg lekker (fruitig en fris).Als hoofdgerecht hadden wij de rode mul genomen. Je betaalt per kg. Wij hadden een vis van 350 gram voor ons tweeën. Erg smaakvolle en vrij stevige vis. Wel met graten, maar groot genoeg om ze niet over het hoofd te zien. Als bijgerecht bestelden wij de rijst met koriander en gemixte groenten. Ook erg lekker.Het toetje werd een amandel/vijgen taartje met koffie (de koffie was minder dan € 2,-). Dat was eveneens weer smullen. Echt heerlijk gegeten!Prijs kwaliteit verhouding erg goed. Bediening erg vriendelijk en attent. En omdat het restaurant op de tweede verdieping zit heb je vanaf het terras een schitterend uitzicht over de haven van Vilamoura!Dit is zeker een aanrader!

An exceptional gastronomic experience at Restaurante O cesteiro… The restaurant's atmosphere is elegant and welcoming, with maritime decor that creates a relaxing atmosphere. The staff are attentive and helpful, always ready to answer any questions or provide recommendations. They are very knowledgeable about the dishes and wines available, which makes the experience even more pleasant…. Furthermore, the price is fair for what is offered. Considering the quality of the ingredients and the skill of the chef… The view over the Marina is magnificent Visit It will be worth it
