O Marisco restaurant was one of my favourite restaurants in Vilamoura. On my last visit I was very disappointed with the service. One of the owners was very rude when I walked into the bathroom once my friends was waiting to get seated. I ordered a sea food pasta and came with cheese. I’m allergic so I asked the waitress if they put cheese on it. She asked the chef and he said no cheese. So I continued to eating till I noticed the folk had cheese. The owner came to the table when I asked and he guaranteed that the my place didn’t have any cheese. It was a lie and I think he could apologised for the mistake but instead he was very arrogant saying “ smell and taste like cheese but I’m 100% sure isn’t cheese. I will never go back there for the disappointment.

We are currently on holiday staying galf way between Villamoura and Albufeira, and decided to taxi over to the marina for tea. Out of the wide variety of restaurants available we took a punt on this one and it certainly delivered. Just a bread starter, but it came with a lovely selection of olives, tuna, pickled carrots...really tasty. I had chicken in a creamy mushroom sauce, which was vert tasty and a very generous portion. My husband had a mixed kebab which was a massive portion...and so tasty. Happily recommend this restaurant to all.

Great food, friendly service and buzzy atmosphere. The covert is excellent and you won’t need a starter if you order it! Cataplana delicious. We will visit again.

We found Marisco while on a golf trip to Algarve. We found the food (most of us had great seafood, but one enjoyed the beef too) to be superb and the service friendly. The shrimp kabobs and the octopus were the best. Be sure to make a reservation during prime times.

Visited twice this trip and never disappointed, first visit, fantastic Oysters with the couvert and, with out a doubt the best monkfish cataplana you will have anywhere for our main. It’s a proper Portuguese family restaurant with plenty of locals eating, which tells you they have got it right. Great choice, Great service, Great food, Great nights

We were four including my wife, son and his fiancee. Service was very good. Starters included sardines which good. My son and I had monkfish cataplana for main. It was exceptional with lots of fish, and prawns and with monkfish liver which was a new one on me. Worth a try. My wife had seafood linguine. She was very pleased with taste and portions. And final main was fillet of sea bass. All very nice. I’d recommend this place highly if you enjoy your seafood.

We visited O Marisco and found the food and service superb as previous experienced. We started with the prawns and they were delightful. We then had the paella and this would put Spain to shame and teach them about how to cook paella. Full of seafood and amazing taste. Would highly recommend

The food was good, my family really enjoyed their choices. I had mixed meat kebab but it was ever so dry, as you would expect I guess you would say-it came with grilled veg which I thought would would offer the juiciness I’d need but it was a little lacking. Steak and monk fish curry were great family said. The restaurant staff were really attentive but looked very somber, quite an odd look but perhaps something had happened that day. Would recommend, better for steaks and fish dishes for sure.

A high end restaurant at very reasonable prices on the Marina in Vilamoura. We’ve eaten here many times and the food is simply delicious. The sardines starter, paella, whatever you order will be superb and the service is excellent too, can’t recommend it highly enough

My husband, son and I ate here and had a great experience. It's very popular and we were lucky to find a table. I'd advise booking, as it's super busy! The food was excellent Portuguese cuisine. My son had a fabulous steak, which was beautifully cooked, my husband had a hanging meat kebab and I tried a traditional dish called Porco Alentejana, which was cubes of pork mixed with clams, potatoes and veg. It was very different and tasty! Would highly recommend this restaurant, as it's very authentic compared to some of the more touristy restaurants on the marina.

We only had a short trip to Vilamoura, however, we still managed to have 3 meals here. Location excellent. All indoors, no outdoor seating available. Good variety on the menu. Excellent food. A big plus is that they also open for lunch (as many only open for evening meals). Price is reasonable. Lovely, clean facilities. Would advise to book for evening meals. Will definitely eat here again on our next trip. Would definitely recommend.

We stumbled across this excellent restaurant in the marina during our stay. We arrived just after 9 and hadn’t booked but luckily they managed to fit us in! It was very busy so I make sure I would book to go again next time. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much! The food was delicious, we had lamb chops and a steak kebab! Wow it was delicious! Well worth a visit!

Marisco is a bit more low key for the marina. It's a fairly small space without outside seating so unlike many other restaurants, they don't have someone positioned outside holding a menu begging you to come in, which is always a good sign. The food was traditional Portuguese seafood and was very good. We didn't have it but many people seemed to be having the shrimp kabobs which looked amazing. Unfortunately, we did have a reservation and they were 30 minutes late in seating us, then had the audacity to pressure us to order faster.
