I wanted to try something more homemade and cheaper than other restaurants downtown Faro. This one stood out for me and because it was near the Capela dos Ossos I thought I'd give it a try. Some people complained in other reviews about the owner and host of the restaurant, but I think he's a very direct man who sadly doesn't speak anything else but portuguese but tried his best to answer the customer's questions. I had the Arroz con Marisco and it was very tasty and cheap. The owner recommended that I add his homemade chilli sauce, which in my opinion is great! It's nice to see that the neighbors come in to greet him and eat there too. Also it was obvious how fresh the seafood is, because while I was eating a fisherman entered the place with a box full of fish that was handed directly to the kitchen. Modest, simple, delicious and good relaxing vibes. I can't wait to go there again and try the next recommendation!

A true hidden gem. I had the Prawns. Truly divine. My husband had the veal & wasn't raving, but fir value for money can't complain. Don't be in a hurry though. The sangria was a bit sweet for my liking. We are South African & the owner even spoke afrikaans to us. Highly recommended, don't let the unassuming frontage put you off
