I think best description for the food at this oriental fusion restaurant is ‘unexceptional’. The food is not offensive but is bland and instantly forgettable from a taste standpoint. It looks attractive enough in terms of presentation, but does nothing to stimulate the tastebuds. So lacking was the food that 24 hours later I struggle remember what I had. Even simple staple dishes like egg fried rice, and Singapore noodles, whilst looking like the real thing, just didn’t really taste of anything. Then when you ask for the bill comes the only thing that is memorable, and for all the wrong reasons. Boy does this restaurant know how to charge for mediocre food. This was the biggest bill we had on our holiday, even outstripping the cost of meals at some of the exceptional fish restaurants in the area. Unfortunately at this time of year the Praca at Vale do Lobo is like a ghost town at night. Tea House Oriental appeared to be the only restaurant open, and on the night we were there they had fewer than 10 diners including us. So if you want dinner here, it’s Hobson’s Choice. It’s a perfectly pleasant restaurant environment, with attentive and friendly staff, but very disappointing in terms of quality and value. I can’t really recommend it.
Parking: Free parking short walkaway.

We visit this restaurant every year, and have always been very happy with both the level of service and the quality of the food. This year we booked as usual, and had a quick scan of recent reviews. I was amazed to find some recent negative views expressed, but decided that we would check it for ourselves. I am so glad we did, as the service we received was totally up to standard, and completely at odds with the views expressed by some diners. The girl who served us could not have been more pleasant or more professional, and our interaction with other members of staff was similar. We were a family group of seven, we all had a selection of diverse dishes, and we were all perfectly happy with the food presented. It is a brilliant location for enjoying the live music in the Pracca square, and the older children can go down to dance and interact with the group, and you can clearly supervise them from your dining table. Ignore the people who like to complain and go make your own mind up. You will not be dissappointed!
We have walk on the beach for hours and wanted to have a nice diner and saw this Asian type restaurant on the square. We sat down at one of the tables and the waiter told us that we was going to get the menu cards. It took about 20 minutes (although it was not so busy) before we got the menu card. Ordering went also slow and the food was blend and simple but the price (for Portuguese norms) was very high ( both European prices) . The staff were very slow and uninterested, like they were tired of serving clients. Although we had a nice day of walking, the day did not ended with a nice meal as we thought
Where to start? DO NOT waste your precious time or money! The staff were nice, and the prawn crackers were excellent, but we did need to ask for extra dipping sauce as they were very stingy at best, that is literally the only reason I'm giving one star as these alone raised the rating up. Firstly, had we not ordered our mains at the same time as the starters, we would have left straight away. The ribs that were so dry and lacking in actual meat and flavour...I can only imagine this poor beast was starved before it was sacrificed for this starter. The vegetable spring rolls were so overcooked that I was concerned with chipping my perfectly nice teeth. (we were starving, so stayed and hoped for a main meal redemption) Unfortunately, this was not the case. My teriyaki chicken came in flat whole pieces that were drier than my grannies heels in July! But it was not sliced up, so it made it impossible to use the cheapest chopsticks I've ever come across. The vegetables were murdered and had no crunch at all, I suggest perhaps they needed to spend some quality time with the spring rolls! The Thai beef main was so salty that I thought an imminent stroke would follow. This whole experience was seriously overpriced for a very underwhelming experience. Life is too short to spend any time in this place.
Poor, discracful, utterly shambolic...A little overpriced for the quality of the food, think cheap takeaway type food but 4 times the price. Also felt a little sick after eating it given how bad it tasted. Had a great time though and really enjoyed the pad Thai and the chicken teriyaki. 3.9/5And I wanted to add another aspect. I unfortunately have a chronic disease that loosens my bowels. I had to visit the toilet during the meal. Not having a working toilet handle has now just ruined the night of the unlucky woman whoever enters the bathroom. I apologise in advance but this needs to be addressed as soon as possible.I started this meal wearing wet swimming trunks and with sandy feet. They have a nice balcony and I had to go change my outfit because I was cold. I can't remember what I ordered but it probably wasn't very nice. I ordered the beef rendang and I don't have a baby. What I'm trying to say is that trance is coming back and the food here isn't very good. My favourite colour is green.
Worst meal I’ve had!!!…. I think ever. I don’t ever complain but this is really not the place to eat. Save your money and go somewhere else.We ordered 5 main meals every member of the party complained about their food.
Service was good but food was our main issue. It was inauthentic and bland, which would be expected of a cheap restaurant, but it was more expensive than a lot of the other restaurants in vale do lobo. We also discovered when we got home that we had been overcharged. Not a terrible experience, but just not worth the money for mediocre food.
Overpriced poor food, lacking in spice or flavour. Service was a little hit and miss too having to ask for menus and spoons for desserts. For the money the portion sizes were underwhelming too.

Wonderful food, great service .
don't bother
Food quality was absolutely rubbish. Get a taxi and go somewhere else. Trust me I don't ever complain.
Not the best restaurant around the area, no fresh food or great presentation, price okay. An Asian atmosphere does not make an Asian restaurant.
Food was very disappointing, but service was nice and the view amazing.
