Too expensive for the quantities they serve.

Vegetarian options: There were only 2 options for vegetarians, where once again the quantities leave something to be desired. It didn't even come with accompaniment.

We highly recommend this place!!! One of the best restaurants we have ever eaten in... at all... we did not expect cuisine of this level in the Azores. Congratulations to the owners for their taste, enthusiasm for work and perfect service...
Must be in the Azores!!!

I really loved this place because it is authentic. The dinner was good and although we had to wait to be served (the restaurant was full) it was worth it. Delicious fish and the quality is high.

I had saved this place to taste the gastronomy of the area, especially the limpets, the octopus and perhaps the espetada of squid, and shrimp.

First of all, a very friendly boy takes our note and tells us that there is no octopus a lagareiro, nor espetada de lulas. So we ask you for a moment to review the letter again and make a new choice.

The second time a lady comes to take our order and tells us: "the kitchen closes at 10 p.m."

We chose soup in typical local bread, octopus salad, limpets, and of the 4 fish there was grilled tuna, he repeated to us several times that the main dishes could not be shared. At this moment we have been on the verge of leaving the premises.

After several bad answers, the lady brought the bottle of wine, taking the glass from my partner's hand without asking.

35 minutes later the first dish came out, and they closed the kitchen at 10 p.m.

The food was delicious, especially the limpets, bolo de pão soup, octopus salad and grilled tuna fillet.

When it came to paying, it took us about 10 minutes because some customers insisted on paying for each of their dishes individually, and our friend took it calmly. So the nice guy took out another dataphone, charged us and we were able to leave.

In short, good food, good place but we have received bad treatment.

Good food, bad customer service. Simple as that. If you don’t mind the server almost roll her eyes everytime you order, you might like this place. For people who appreciate to feel welcomed as well as eating good food when eating out, then this might not be the place for you. I certainly won’t be returning. After approaching our table in a rude way and barely smiling while taking our order, i asked if there was a cocktail menu, to which she just rudely replied “no.” I kept cool and continued smiling. Then i asked if it was possible to make one, she rudely said “depends.” I kept cool again. Then i had to look at the bar, i pointed to a Gin, and said “can you make me a Gin tonic with that Gin”? She wrote it down without saying a word. As i wanted to make sure she understood me, given the fact she was one wording me and acting like what i was asking for was such a burden to her, i asked “do you guys have tonic water to add to the Gin?” To which she cockily said “questions like that dont need to be asked.” Which finally made me mad. For the rest of the meal, every request our table had, had her reacting like were asking to eat for free. One of the rudest people that has ever served me.

In this restaurant I had the most surreal situation I have ever experienced in a restaurant.
Yesterday, Saturday, July 27, I went with my partner to dinner at this restaurant.
When it came to ordering, the waitress who served us was not happy with the fact that I and my partner were going to share one of the three dishes.
She became very serious and explained to us that each one had to order at least one starter and one main dish.
That is how many dishes in total.
I explained to him that I wasn't that hungry and that with three dishes we were fine.
THE WAITRESS INSISTED!

I couldn't believe it, I was about to get up and leave but it was too late to find another restaurant open.

The food was not excellent either, but that was the least of it. The cheesy chicken sauce was too salty and the soup was bland. But after adding salt, pepper and a touch of oil it was good!

I have set the date of our dinner so that the boss knows which waitress we are talking about and gives her a warning so that this does not happen again to any other customer.
The situation was really unpleasant.

Incredible gastronomic experience. The best octopus on the entire island. The fish (in this case, we chose tuna), fresh and tasty too. Completely recommended and at a reasonable price for the quality of the product

Fish ? of the day was very tasty.
My wife also really liked the vegetarian burger. It's definitely fine dining with slightly higher prices?

Vegetarian options: The Azorean chickpea burger was very tasty. Please do not confuse it with a normal burger.

Very good restaurant, dishes well presented and delicious. Calm and relaxed atmosphere. Maybe a little more expensive than elsewhere but recommended.

We ate at this restaurant to eat authentic Azorean cuisine.
Honestly, the 3 of us got for €110, taking 3 octopus, 1 glass of wine and lapas and 1 bottle of water. I found the price really excessive.
It was good and well cooked, although the octopus was quite thick and therefore disgusting towards the end of the dish.
The servers were friendly and good service.
I therefore recommend this restaurant if you don't look too closely at the prices.

A fabulous restaurant! Totally inconspicuous from the outside, the tuna steak captivated us so much that we were here two days in a row. A dream in both rare and medium, a huge, divine steak for €20! Even my husband, who generally doesn't like fish, was so convinced that he also ordered tuna on the second day and really liked it!
We can also recommend the sirloin steak.
The service is fabulous and the wines are also a dream! We can particularly recommend a rosé wine called “Herdade do Rocim” from the 2022 vintage.
For dessert we had the wildberry cheesecake and a freshly baked pineapple cake.
Both times we were there around 7 p.m. and got a table without a reservation, which is really a rarity here on Sao Miguel! Parking is available directly in front of the restaurant or down the street to the sea.
Once again a special thank you to the entire, super accommodating team!
