Wow! Spectacular!!! We ordered the tasting menu and it is very worth it. We enjoyed it a lot but we enjoyed the attention of the waiters much more! You definitely can't miss this restaurant if you are in the duoro valley.

I ordered confit cod and it was good, however the onion puree to accompany it looked like soup. Overall for a restaurant of this level it was not convincing. Very inexperienced team.

Hotel is great but restaurant was not worth the visit. Servers seemed lost, food was not Michelin quality. Glad we were able to get a reservation at Donna Amelia the next night which was AMAZING!!! Hotel is great, especially Bernardo!!

Expectations were high, but in fact the restaurant left a little to be desired. The best dish was the veal (delicious sauce). On the other hand, the ravioli dough wasn't cooked well and didn't have much flavor. Otherwise it was good, but not spectacular for Michelin.

Reservation at 8:30 p.m. 2 people. Several diners. Remaining unassembled tables. They offer me the worst table, I choose another. There's a chair missing, I take one from another table. The waiter looks but does nothing. We warn that one of us has a gluten intolerance. They serve bread with and without gluten. I order red Douro wine. They serve me white wine. The first dish. Ravioli. Since both dishes are the same, we ask if one of them is gluten-free. The waitress disappears. After 5 minutes the person who seems to be responsible for the restaurant comes and tells us that, of course, they both have gluten. He says he doesn't know anything and we explain the obvious that they have served gluten-free bread, so they should know. A discarded plate. One of the main courses was lobster salad. They serve octopus. We tell them the error and they say they don't have lobster. We decided, after so much nonsense, to leave. In the height of absurdity, the chef tells us that he is already preparing the lobster salad. Let's goIn short, bad service by inexperienced waiters. Poor team preparation. Lack of coordination of reserves. Ah! Vulgar food that you can find in any self service.

Superb food, worthy of at least one Michelin star. Beautiful location with great views and friendly service. This is not only good for eating at when you're staying at the hotel but even for a special detour.(My only qualm is the markup on the wines. No '2x plus 12' here but many bottles selling at 400-500% markup. So a 8 euro bottle of sparkling wine becomes 40 euros and a glass 11. On a related note, some glasses are 1/5 of the bottle price (which makes sense), some 1/4 and some 1/3, which makes the per-glass price really high. The ports are much better priced and there is a good selection. Just be mindful when ordering.)

I have to say one of the best experiences of a restaurant I have had in a long time. The service by the head waiter was outstanding. Every course was described and explained and accompanied by an individual choice of wine to accompany the course. The food was exquisite. Tasty, ingenious and unique. Our compliments to the outstanding chef. Thankyou so much for the experience. We throughly enjoyed it. ??
