Tasca Ginásio offers a warm atmosphere and traditional Portuguese dishes on a first-come, first-served basis. Considered one of the best taverns, it serves generous portions of good food and wine, reminiscent of home-cooked meals. The place features a "homely" ambiance, sometimes a bit noisy, and is popular for sharing good times with friends or in groups of up to 10-15 people. The staff is relaxed yet very helpful, creating a friendly environment. Guests enjoy homemade, very tasty typical dishes such as pataniscas and sausages, although desserts are small and sometimes overly sweet. While there may be a wait for a table, many find it well worth it.
